Procedure for HS 1P (11/22/10)

Objectives: 1) Students will be able to complete Review Sounds 1 handout today.  2) Students will view a non-fiction DVD about Pandas in China.

Homework: 1) Practice reading sentences.  2) Review all learned characters.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Quick review (筆/笔, 毛, 書/书, 包, 尺).  2) Quick reading (sentences #1-10).  3) Simple conversation questions.
  2. Go over Review Sounds 1 handout (#11-16).
  3. DVD: China: The Panda Adventure.

Procedure for HS 2P (11/22/10)

目標: 1) Students will be able to learn new sentence patterns of borrowing items/conditional statement.  2) Students will be able to finish a panda movie.

功課: 1) Write new characters.  2) Make sentences (如果…的話, 一定, 討厭, 另外還有).

程序:

  1. 1) Turn in Discussion Questions, if you have not done so.  2) Go over sample sentences.
  2. Read text passages on page 3.
  3. Culture reading: text page 17 (School subjects and homerooms).
  4. DVD: China: The Panda Adventure.

Procedure for HS 9P (11/22/10)

Objectives: 1) Students will be able to showcase their floor plan project through PPT, movie, poster or model.  2) Students will practice their listening/speaking skills through oral presentation session.

功課: Practice reading your project, if you have not done it today.

Procedure:

  1. Turn in your flash drive, poster, CD w/checklist and printed script.
  2. Oral presentation.

Procedure for MS 3P (11/22/10)

Objectives: 1) Students will be able to review a China reading packet.  2) Students will be able to complete a Student Inventory.

Homework: Student Inventory.  Due tomorrow.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Please sit on your assigned seat.  Get team assignment from each student.  2) Pass out/go over Student Inventory form.  Collect if done.
  2. 1) Ms. Chang introduces classroom procedure.  2) Pass out/go over China reading packet.

**  Lock down drill took place at around 10:00 AM.

Objectives: 1) Students will be able to complete Review Sounds 1 handout.  2) Students will view a non-fiction DVD about Pandas in China.

Homework: 1) Practice reading sentences.  2) Review all learned characters.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Quick review (筆/笔, 毛, 書/书, 包, 尺).  2) Quick reading (sentences #1-10).  3) Simple conversation questions (What is this/that?  This/That is …).  4) Return audacity recording slip.  Comments on commonly made mistakes.  Colin models reading the passages.
  2. Go over Review Sounds 1 handout (#11-16).
  3. DVD: China: The Panda Adventure.
