Procedures for 12/3/10

Procedure for HS 1P (12/3/10)

Objectives: 1) Students will be able to finish up acquiring all new characters in this lesson.  2)  Students will be able to finish up a DVD about Shanghai.  3) Students will be able to practice all sentence patterns (positive, negative, questioning, possessive) through a conversation routine.    

Homework: 1) WB page 30 Section E.  2) Write new characters.  3) Study!!

Procedure:

  1. 1) Mrs. Wilch will be at our classroom on Monday morning.  2) Ms. Chang checks the completeness of your WB page 31.  3) Chapter test: Tuesday, 12/7.
  2. Teach new characters (概, 謝/谢, 客, 氣/气)–大概, 一概, 謝謝, 不謝, 客氣, 不客氣, 客人, 生氣, 天氣, 大氣.
  3. Review sentence expansion chart.
  4. DVD: Shanghai Makeover.
  5. Conservation question practice.

Procedure for HS 2P (12/3/10)

目標: 1) Students will be able to acquire new characters.  2) Students will be able to identify places in a school building.

功課: 1) WB page 14 Section O: 10 terms first.  2) Study vocabulary (詞典, 自己, 一定, 計算機, 記得, 忘記, 教室, 行政, 圖書館, 禮堂, 辦公室, 大樓, 流利, 馬馬虎虎. 意思, 作業, 注意, 問題, 清楚, 說話).

程序:

  1. 1) Turn in your two sentences assignment.  2) Ms. Chang checks the completeness of WB page 11 #5, #6, and #8.  3) Lesson Three quiz #2: Wednesday, 12/8.
  2. DVD: China: The Panda Adventure.
  3. Go over Text page 5 and work on WB page 7 Section H.
  4. Simple conversation questions – < event or action > 多久了?

Procedure for HS 9P (12/3/10)

Objectives: 1) Students will review for chapter test.  2) Students will review

功課: Study for Lesson Three chapter test (Tuesday) and audacity (Thursday).

Procedure:

  1. 1) Take one copy of Lesson Three text passages slip.  2) Move seats.  3) Discipline issue.  4) Audacity passage format (2-3 sentences from each segment!).
  2. Listening activity: 1) WB page 27 Section K.  2) Go over the answer key.
  3. Explain sentence patterns on text pages and WB page 21.  Revise writing assignment from yesterday.  Collect.

Procedure for MS 3P (12/3/10)

Objectives: 1) Students will be able to learn greeting terms.  2) Students will be able to compare/contrast different formats between Chinese and American publications.  3) Students will be able to practice chopsticks to pick up cereals.

Homework: Review learned terms.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Return characters writing assignment.  2) Quick review (Ni Hao, Lao Shi, Zai Jian, Ni Shi, Wo Shi, Wu An, Wan An, Zao, Zao An, Ni Zao, Zao Shang Hao, Xie Xie, Bu Xie, Bu Ke Qi, Dui Bu Qi, Mei Guan Xi).
  2. Teach new terms (shang ke, xia ke, qi li, jing li, Zuo Xia, Qing Zuo).
  3. Culture reading: Chinese Writing and Pronunciation.  Showcase Chinese publications.
  4. Chopsticks practice.

Procedure for MS 5P (12/3/10)

Objectives: 1) Students will be able to finish up acquiring all new characters in this lesson.  2) Students will be able to gain cultural/historical knowledge about the Great Wall of China. 3) Students will be able to orally practice all sentence patterns (positive, negative, questioning, possessive) in this lesson.

Homework: 1) WB page 30 Section E.  2) Write new characters.  3) Study.

  1. 1) Ms. Chang checks the completeness of your WB page 31.  2) Chapter test: Tuesday, 12/7.
