Procedures for 12/10/10

Procedure for HS 1P (12/10/10)

Objectives: 1) Students will be able to acquire historical/cultural knowledge about the Great Wall of China.  2) Students will practice cite reading.

Homework: 1) Write definitions for Lesson Six new characters.  Due next Monday.  2) Practice reading sentences.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Take one copy Lesson Six characters worksheet and one copy of Review Sounds 2 handout.  2) Return characters worksheet and test papers.  3) Turn in digital photo(s) or pictures of your family members from today to 1/3/11.  Electronic version ones will be perfect.  Questions?
  2. Go over Review Sounds 2 handout (#1-#2).
  3. Listen to 2 exemplary audacity recording (Josh and Paul).
  4. DVD: Seven Wonders of China: the Great Wall.

Procedure for HS 2P (12/10/10)

目標: 1) Students will be able to showcase their mastery of new vocabulary in Lesson One.  2) Students will be able to gain historical/cultural knowledge about Hu Bei Wu Dan Shan.

Procedure for HS 9P (12/10/10)

Objectives: 1) Students will be able to complete Lesson Three Listening Comprehension part today.  2) Students will be able to gain historical/cultural knowledge about Hu Bei Wu Dan Shan.

Procedure:

  1. Return audacity slip, characters worksheet and test papers.
  2. Lesson Three chapter test: Part II: Listening Comprehension test.
  3. DVD: The Seven Wonders of China: Hu Bei Wu Dan Shan.
  4. Mismatch activity.

Procedure for MS 3P (12/10/10)

Objectives: 1) Students will be able to learn how to count numbers from 0 to 100 in Chinese.  3) Students will be able to brainstorm ideas for their art project through viewing many art project samples.  3) Students will be able to finish up unit #2 today.

Homework: Review learned terms.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Makeup test (Nick).  2) Quick review with Chinese character recognition (yi, er, san, si, wu, liu, qi, ba, jiu, shi).
  2. Teach new terms with Chinese characters (ling, bai).
  3. Introduce Chinese counting principle / Go over Chinese counting table.  Count numbers from 0 to 100 in Chinese as a class.  Challenging questions/answer session.

Procedure for MS 5P (12/10/10)

Objectives: 1) Students will be able to acquire historical/cultural knowledge about the Great Wall of China.  2) Students will practice cite reading.

Homework: Practice reading sentences.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Ms. Chang and captains check completeness of your new characters definitions.  2) Quick reading (#1-#4).  Random drawing.  3) Makeup work (Ryan).
  2. Go over Review Sounds 2 handout (#5-#8).
  3. Go over Ni Hao 1 Lessons 2-6 Conversation Questions handout.
  4. DVD: Seven Wonders of China: the Great Wall.
