Procedures for 12/9/10

Procedure for HS 1P (12/9/10)

Objectives: 1) Students will be able to showcase their oral and cite reading fluency through an audacity recording.  2) Students will review learned materials through playing interactive games.

Homework: N/A

Procedure:

  1. Take one copy of Lesson Five text passages slip.  Make a recording of Lesson Five text passages and three sentences from Review Sounds 1 handout.  Save your recording(s) as < last name >LessonFive.wav and submit your recording(s) to HS1P folder under O drive and Ms. Chang’s folder.
  2. Go to P drive and click Ni Hao 1 game under Ms. Chang’s folder.

Procedure for HS 2P (12/9/10)

目標: 1) Students will be able to showcase their oral and cite reading fluency today.  2) Students will review learned materials through playing interactive games.

功課: Study for quiz tomorrow.

  1. Randomly pick out a text passages slip.  Take turns reading your assigned passages to Ms. Chang.
  2. Go to P drive and click Ni Hao 1, Ni Hao 2 or Ni Hao 3 game under Ms. Chang’s folder.

Homework: Study for your chapter test listening comprehension part tomorrow.

Procedure:

1.   Take one copy of Lesson Three text passages slip.  Make a recording of Lesson Three text passages.  Save your recording(s) as < last name >LessonThree.wav and submit your recording(s) to HS9P folder under O drive and Ms. Chang’s folder.

2.  Go to P drive and click Ni Hao 1 or Ni Hao 2 game under Ms. Chang’s folder.

Procedure for MS 3P (12/9/10)

Objectives: 1) Students will be able to check out art project samples completed by previous years’ Exploratory Chinese students.  2) Students will be able to learn numbers 6-10 today.

Homework: 1) Review all learned terms.  2) Complete writing characters

Procedure:

  1. 1) Makeup test (Amber) / Makeup skit presentation (Claire, Amber)
  2. 1) Quick review with Chinese characters (yi, er, san, si, wu ).  2) Teach new terms with Chinese characters (liu, qi, ba, jiu, shi).
  3. Listening activity: yi, er, san.
  4. Showcase art projects (arts, crafts, and movie).

Procedure for MS 5P (12/9/10)

Objectives: 1) Students will be able to gain cultural knowledge about the Great Wall of China, Chinese guessing game, calligraphy and early inventions.  2) Students will be able to sharpen their cite reading skill through reviewing a second set of sentences.  2) Students will be able to start a new lesson today.

Homework: Complete definitions for new characters.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Makeup test (Ryan?).  2) Take one copy of Lesson Six characters worksheet and one copy of Review Sounds 2 handout.
  2. Culture reading: Text pages 41-42: 1) Finger-guessing game: game time, 2) Calligraphy (DVD) and 3) Early inventions.
  3. Go over Review Sounds 2 handout.
