Procedures for 1/28/11

rocedure for HS 1P (1/28/11)

Objectives: Students will be able to showcase their reading and speaking fluency through reading text passages and conversation activities.

Homework: Practice your oral presentation. 

Procedure:

  1. 1) Check WB page 36.  Sharing.  2) Makeup work?  3) Questions about oral presentation or family paragraph?
  2. 1) Review text passages on pages 43-44.  2) Round robin reading/conversation practice.  3) Practice your family paragraph.

**  Juniors attended a scheduling assembly at 1P.  Only 7 sophomores/freshmen were present.

Procedure for HS 2P (1/28/11)

目標: 1) Students will be able to acquire new adverbs to describe distances and time.  2) Students will be able to practice new text segment.     

功課: 1) Practice reading text passage on page 19.  2) Write new characters.

程序:

  1. 1) Ms. Chang checks/corrects your WB page 18.  Go over the answer.  2) Song time.
  2. 1) Teach new characters (汽, 趕, 只, 坐, 摩, 托) and terms (不過, 汽水, 水汽, 趕快, 只要, 只有, 因為…所以, 沒, 鐘頭, 小時, 幾 = 多).  2) Practice conversation.
  3. Read text passage on page 19.

Procedure for HS 9P (1/28/11)

Objectives: 1) Students will be able to showcase their mastery of types of clothes.  2) Students will be able to describe how clothes fit on them.  3) Students will be able to practice writing sentences.    

Homework: 1) Text passage on page 44.  2) Make 2 sentences.  

Procedure:

  1. 1) Take one copy of Lesson Four Supplementary handout.  2) Quick review.
  2. Lesson Four mini quiz #2.

3.   Teach a sentence pattern: ….起來 (看, 吃, 聽, 穿) with sample sentences.

4.   Teach new terms (舒) with term (舒服).

5.   Seat work: Make 2 sentences

Procedure for MS 3P (1/28/11)

Objectives: 1) Students will be able to acquire more greeting terms.  2) Students will be able to write more simple Chinese characters.  3) Students will be able to know the expectations of art project.

Homework: Review learned terms and characters. 

Procedure:

  1. 1) 7B team day: next Monday.  2) Quick review (Ni Hao, Ni Shi, Wo Shi, Zai Jian, Zhang Lao Shi, Xie Xie, Bu Xie, Bu Ke Qi).  3) Quick review (sun, moon).
  2. Teach new characters (person/people, mountain, fire, tree).
    1. Teach new terms (Dui Bu Qi, Mei Guan Xi, Wu An, Wan An).
    2. Showcase art project samples.

**  Pep rally assembly today.

Procedure for MS 5P (1/28/11)

Objectives: 1) Students will be able to gain reading, writing, listening and speaking proficiency through an interview activity.  2) Students will be able to practice ways to introduce their name.  Homework: 1) Read text passages on pages 43-44, & 46.  2)  Write new character.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Draw a number as your oral presentation order on next Monday.  2) Lesson Six chapter test: Monday, 2/7.  Audacity recording: Wednesday, 2/9.  3) Captains checks WB page 38.  Go over the answer key.
  2. 1) Read text passages on pages 43-44.  2) Round robin reading.
  3. 1) Conducting your survey (5 students).  2) Sharing.
  4. 1) Go over/review (姓名, 名字).  2) Simple introduction practice.  3) Practice reading your family paragraph.  Questions?
  5. Learn new character (呢).
