Procedures for 2/18/11

Procedure for HS 1P (2/18/11)

Objectives: 1) Students will be able to finalize their skit for Lessons 5, 6 and 7.  2) Students will be able to name family pets and describe pets.

Homework: 1) Write new characters.  2) Practice reading Lesson Five text passages.  3) Type and memorize your skit.

Procedure:

1.   1) Quick review (狗, 貓/猫, 鳥/鸟, 金, 魚/鱼, 馬/马, 隻/只, 條/条, 匹).  2) Teach new characters (寵/宠, 物, 大, 小, 很).  3) Read text passage on page 54.

2.   Conversation questions practice.

3.   Skit: finalize your skit.

Procedure for HS 2P (2/18/11)

目標: 1) Students will be able to carry out Amazing Race directions.  2) Students will be able to give / follow directions from place to place. 

功課: 1) Practice giving directions from one place to another place.  2) Round robin reading page 22 next Tuesday. 

程序:

1)   Makeup work (Ben + Kaitlyn: WB page 23).  2) Get your wrist band and bag.  Good luck and have fun.

Procedure for HS 9P (2/18/11)

Objectives: 1) Students will be able to showcase their mastery of expressing money in writing and verbally.  2) Students will be able to ask about the price. 

Homework: Practice reading Lesson Four text passages and text on page 55. 

Procedure:

  1. 1) Share statistics from Lesson Four chapter test (average 30.3 out of with 16 out of 29 earning a grade over 30).  2) Missing work (Wyatt, Colin, Adam Y., Brad). 
  2. Introduce sentence patterns of “有沒有”.
  3. Teach new characters (頂/顶, 帽, 橘, 鳳/凤, 梨) with terms (房頂/屋頂, 帽子, 橘子, 鳳梨, 梨子). 
  4. Lesson Four Quiz #1.

Procedure for MS 3P (2/18/11)

Objectives: Students will be able to make flash cards to prepare for color unit.

Homework: Review learned terms for unit #3 on Wednesday, 2/23.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Pair practice draft #1.  Collect.  2) Review all learned terms (baba, mama, gege, didi, jiejie, meimei, sui, jia, you, ge ren, sheng ri, he, liang, nian, de).
  2. Pass out index cards, colored strips, and glue sticks => 11 flash cards.  Collect for grade.
  3. Culture reading: School system / Rock, scissors and paper.
