Procedures for 2/22/11

Procedure for HS 1P (2/22/11)

Objectives: Students will be able to use adjectives to describe people and pets.

Homework: 1) Write new characters.  2) Finalize your skit.  3) Review all learned terms. 

Procedure:

1.   1) Abdussamad and Darian talks to Ms. Chang after class, please.  2) Return papers (grammar review worksheet).  3) Lesson Seven Chapter test: Monday, 2/28/11.  Lesson Seven audacity: Tuesday, 3/1/11.  Skit due on this Thursday.

2.   1) Quick review (狗, 貓/猫, 鳥/鸟, 金, 魚/鱼, 馬/马, 隻/只, 條/条, 匹, 寵/宠, 物, 大, 小, 很).  2) Teach new characters (兇, 可, 愛, 真, 啊, 牠) with terms (可愛, 可是, 真的啊).  3) Compare all different (他, 她, 牠, 它).  4) Read text passages on pages 54-55.

3.   Work on skit time.

Procedure for HS 2P (2/22/11)

目標: 1) Students will be able to read text passages fluently.  2) Students will be master basic direction sentence patterns in this lesson. 

功課: 1) Complete WB page 22.  2) Review all learned terms.

程序:

1.   1) Discuss Amazing Race activity.  Feedback?  2) Makeup work (Ben, Kaitlyn: WB page 23).  3) Share Trey’s blog web address: treyschinalife.blogspot.com.  4) Lesson Two audacity: Tuesday, 3/1/11.  Chapter test: Thursday, 3/3/11.

2.   1) Quick review (到….怎麼走 / …怎麼去; < suggestion >, 好嗎; 你知道….; 在 < place> < verb>, < place > 在哪裡).  2) Read text passage on page 22.  3) Round robin reading.  4) Giving directions starts from tomorrow.

3.   Class work: WB page 22.

Procedure for HS 9P (2/22/11)

Objectives: 1) Students will be able to express money and ask about prices. 

功課: 1) Write new characters.  2) Practice reading Lesson Four text passages.

Procedure:

1.   1) Makeup work (Caelan / Melissa: quiz).  2) Audacity this Thursday.  3) Quick review (塊錢, 香蕉, 帽子, 橘子, 鳳梨, 梨子, 蘋果

2.   Teach new characters (共, 找, 貨, 司) and terms (可是, 一共, 司機, 百貨公司, 公司).  Master them before Thursday.

3.   1) Read Lesson Four text passages on pages 46-47.

4.   Skit preparation.

Procedure for MS 3P (2/22/11)

Objectives: 1) Students will be able to prepare for their oral presentation draft #2.  2) Students will have hands-on experience of playing Chinese finger-guessing game.

Homework: 1) Review learned terms for quiz #3 and unit #4.  2) Practice saying your oral presentation sentences.

Procedure:

1.   1) Return oral presentation draft #1.  2) Pair practice.  Questions?  3) Show website for typing pinyin.  4) Makeup work (Chloe: flash cards; Brianna: draft #1).  5) Quick review (baba, mama, didi, gege, meimei, jiejie, jia, sui, you, ge ren, he, liang, yue, ri, sheng ri, nian).  6) Quiz #3 on Wednesday.

2.   Teach new terms (hong se, huang se, hei se, bai se).

3.   Finger guessing game (jian dao, shi tou, bu).  Class competition.

4.   Build oral presentation sentences #6 and #7.

Procedure for MS 5P (2/22/11)

Objectives: 1) Students will be able to comprehend the significance of acquiring a foreign language.  2) Students will be able to use adjectives to describe people and pets.

Homework: 1) Prepare for your presentation.  2) Review all learned terms.  3) Write new characters.

Procedure:

1.   1) Makeup work (Cole: grammar review sheet / Lesson five characters definition / audacity; Audacity recording: Wednesday, 3/2/11.  2) Chapter test: Monday, 2/28/11.  2) Skit scripts due on Thursday.  Presentation starts on Thursday, too.  Orchestra members start first.
