Procedures for 2/23/11

Procedure for HS 1P (2/23/11)

Objectives: Students will be able to introduce their family, pets, and their belonging.

Homework: WB page 42 Sections A and page 44 Section E.

Procedure:

1.   1) Audacity recording: Wednesday, 3/2/11.  Lesson Seven chapter test: Thursday, 3/3/11.  Skit due on Monday, 2/28/11.  2) Quick review ((狗, 貓/猫, 鳥/鸟, 金, 魚/鱼, 馬/马, 隻/只, 條/条, 匹, 寵/宠, 物, 大, 小, 很, 兇, 可, 愛, 真, 啊, 牠).

2.   1) Grammar Review Note.    2) Read Lesson Seven text passages.

3.   Culture reading: Not what it seems / Something to Know: text page 51-53.

4.   Skit preparation.

Procedure for HS 2P (2/23/11)

目標: Students will be able to give directions in a simulated town.

功課:WB page 24.

程序:

  1. 1)  Makeup work (WB page 22: Josiah, Lauren, Alex, Ben).  2) Quick review (開車 / 騎自行車 /騎摩托車 / 坐火車 / 騎車 / 走路 / 坐遊覽車; 銀行 / 市場 / 百貨公司 / 醫院 / 動物園; 上班 / 買菜 /上學).  3) Go over text page 25 passages.   4) Lesson Two audacity: Tuesday, 3/1/11.  Lesson  Two quiz #2: Thursday, 3/3/11.
  2. Conversation questions: Getting around town activity. 

Procedure for HS 9P (2/23/11)

Objectives: 1) Students will be able to express money, ask about price and availability of goods, expressing opinions on goods and making choices.  2) Students get fluency in reading Lesson Four text passages.

功課: 1) Practice reading Lesson Four text passages for audacity.  2) WB page 40. 

Procedure:

  1. 1) Clarify skit requirements (transactions).  2) Quick review (塊錢, 香蕉, 帽子, 橘子, 鳳梨, 梨子, 蘋果, 可是, 一共, 百貨公司).
  2. Round robin reading Lesson Four text passages. 
  3. Video viewing: 3 video segments for comprehension: Clothing, Buying a Dress, I Want to buy a Shirt.

Procedure for MS 3P (2/23/11)

Objectives: Students will be able to name various animals, sports and colors.

Homework: 1) Review all learned color terms.  2) Work on your art project.  Due next Wednesday.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Joshua / Eric / Kayleigh / Kelley will miss Exploratory Chinese tomorrow.  Be sure to check Ms. Chang’s daily blog for any missed work/activity.  2) Quick review (baba, mama, didi, gege, meimei, jiejie, jia, sui, you, ge ren, he, liang, yue, ri, sheng ri, nian).
    1. Quiz #3.
  2. 1) Quick review (hong se, huang se, hei se, bai se).  2) Teach new terms (lu se, lan se, zong se, zi se).
  3. 1) Culture reading: Chinese zodiac animals / Legend of Panda.  2) Supplementary terms?
  4. Finish up sentences #6 and #7.
