Procedures for 3/2/11

Procedure for HS 1P (3/2/11)

Objectives: 1) Students will be able to showcase their oral/reading proficiency in Lesson Seven.  2) Students will be able to write sentences about their pet(s) or dream pet(s).

Homework: Study for Lesson Seven chapter test. 

Procedure:

  1. 1) Take one headset, one copy of today’s procedure, and one copy of text passages.  2) Turn in your Lesson Seven characters worksheet tomorrow.    
  2. Save your audio file as < last name > LessonSeven.WAV.  Submit to Ms. Chang folder under HS1P in O drive. 
  3. Write/type sentences about your pets/dream pets.  Print out sentences (NOT YOUR PPT) about your pets.  Collect. 
  4. 1) Go to P drive, review Lesson Seven by playing Ni Hao 1 game.  2) Check out Trey Rainey’s blog: www.treyschinalife.blogspot.com.   

**  Case I (those who have pets): 1) introduce what pet(s) your family has, 2) what is/are the name(s) of your pet(s), and 3) how old the pet(s) is/are.

**  Case II (those who do not have any pet): 1) say you do not have pets, 2) say you would like to have < pet type >: wo3 xiang3 you3 < dream pet >, and 3) the ideal name you would like to name it: wo3 xiang3 jiao4 ta1 < name >.

Procedure for HS 2P (3/2/11)

目標: 1) Students will be able to communicate on topics related to transport and talk about modes of transport and their use. 2) Students will be able to give directions. 

功課: Study for quiz #2.

程序:

1.   1) Ms. Chang checks your WB page 28.  2) Return audacity papers and listening comprehension questions paper.  Questions?  3) Quick review for quiz terms (圖書館, 美術館, 體育館, 科學館, 飯館, 醫院, 火車站, 動物園, 郵局, 銀行, 市場, 百貨公司, 行人廣場, 市中心, 電話亭, 紅綠燈, 十字路口, 附近, 逛街, 參觀, 寺廟, 服務生, 迷路, 路人).  4) Quick review (參加, 參觀, 座, 逛街, 帶, 時) with term (打坐, 早上, 上午, 中午, 下午, 晚上, 點菜, 吃飯).

2.   1) Sentence patterns (你知道….?; < place > 怎麼去; 到 < place > 怎麼走).  2) Key verbs/prepositions (往前走—go forward, 往回走—turn and go back ó 往後走—walk backward, 往右轉/拐—turn right, 往左轉/拐-turn left, 過—pass, 在—at, 到—reach/arrive at, 再 (another), 下一個—next, 第#個—the #th, 紅綠燈路口, 十字路口, 路口, 就在, 馬路, 右邊, 左邊, 繼續—continue).

3.   Conversation questions: getting around town.

Procedure for HS 9P (3/2/11)

Objectives: 1) Students will be able to name common items with accurate measure/counting words.  2) Students will be able to hold conversation in topic of shopping.  

功課: Finalize your skit.  Due tomorrow.   

Procedure:

  1. 1) Take one copy of measure/counting words and adjectives handout.  2) Go over handout.  3) Go over key sentence patterns in text passages.
  2. Skit preparation / Ms. Chang proofreads your skit script.

Procedure for MS 3P (3/2/11)

Objectives: Students will be able to showcase/present their proficiency in Mandarin Chinese through an ultimate art project

Homework: Practice oral presentation.

Procedure:

  1. Take turns turning in your drawing product, submitting your PPT, etc.
  2. Presentation.

Procedure for MS 5P (3/2/11)

Objectives: 1) Students will be able to showcase their oral/reading proficiency in Lesson Seven.  2) Students will be able to describe their pet(s) or dream pet(s).
