Procedures for 3/8/11

Procedure for HS 1P (3/8/11)

Objectives: 1) Students will be able to identify their nationality.  2) Students will be able to gain cultural/historical knowledge about Terracotta Warriors.

Homework: 1) Review learned terms.  2) Practice conversation questions. 

Procedure:

1.   1) Take one copy of Lesson Eight text passages slip and one copy of conversation questions.  2) Turn in your PPT printout.  3) Quick review (中國, 中文, 中國人, 美國, 美國人, 英國, 英國人, 英文, 國家, 美人).  4) Conversation questions quiz: Friday, 3/11/11.

2.   1) Go over Conversation questions handout.  2) Pair practice.

3.         DVD: Seven Wonders of China—Terra Cotta Warrior.

Procedure for HS 2P (3/8/11)

目標: 1) Students will be able to sharpen their listening skill.  2) Students will be able to prepare for their chapter test. 

功課: 1) Practice reading first half of text passages on page 24.  2) Study for chapter test on Friday. 

程序:

  1. 1) Ms. Chang checks your WB page 25.  2) Go over answer key to WB page 25.  3) Quick review (一座山, 一座寺廟, 流利, 高興, 服務生, 門口).
  2. 1) Round robin reading: first half of page 24.  Count for grades tomorrow.  2) Read text passage on second half of page 24.   
    1. Listening activity: WB page 28 Section L.  2) Go over answer key.

Procedure for HS 9P (3/8/11)

Objectives: 1) Students will be able to name various items and places.  2) Students will be able to gain oral and reading fluency. 

功課: WB page 41. 

Procedure:

1.   1) Quick review (便宜, 地圖, 草莓, 貴, 字典, 漢英字典, 英漢字典, 帽子, 香蕉, 橘子, 鳳梨, 蘋果, 水果, 百貨公司, 荔枝, 市場, 可是, 不錯, 報紙).  2) Quick review (怎麼賣, 怎麼樣, 多少錢, 可是, 還不錯, 還).

2.   Oral presentation.

3.  Read text passages on page 55.

Procedure for MS 3P (3/8/11)

Objectives: 1) Students will be able to know Ms. Chang’s classroom expectations and grading policy.  2) Students will be able to learn simple greeting terms.

Homework: 1) Review learned terms.  2) Signature slip due on Thursday, 3/10.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Roger, turns in your Student Inventory.  2) Quick review (Ni Hao).  3) Quiz #1: Tuesday, 3/22.
    1. Self-introduction.
  2. Go over Ms. Chang’s classroom rules.
  3. 1) Teach new terms (Ni Shi, Wo Shi, Zai Jian).  2) Pair practice.

Procedure for MS 5P (3/8/11)

Objectives: 1) Students will be able to identify their nationality.  2) Students will be able to gain historical/cultural knowledge about Terracotta Warriors.  3) Students will be able to gain cultural knowledge about Chinese zodiac animals.      

Homework: 1) Review learned terms.  2) Practice conversation questions.
