3/10/11 Procedures

Procedure for HS 1P (3/10/11)

Objectives: 1) Students will be able to sharpen their speaking, listening and reading skills.  2) Students will be able to gain historical/cultural knowledge about Chinese traditional religions and beliefs.    

Homework: 1) Review all learned terms.  2) Practice your conversation questions.

Procedure:

  1. Quick review (中國, 中文, 中國人, 美國, 美國人, 英國, 英國人, 英文, 美人, 國家, 加拿大, 加拿大人, 德國, 德文, 德國人, 日本, 日本人, 日文, 會, 拿, 説).  2) Conversation questions quiz tomorrow.
  2. DVD with quiz: China: From Past to Present: Geography, Traditional Religions, and Beliefs.  Collect your answer sheet. 
  3. Read text passages on pages 66-69. 
  4. Conversation questions practice.

Procedure for HS 2P (3/10/11)

目標: Students will be able to gain reading and writing fluency. 

功課: Study for chapter test.

程序:

  1. 1) Take one copy of Lesson Two Study Guide.  2) Turn in your Lesson Two characters worksheet tomorrow or next Monday.  3) Quick review (迷路, 迷人, 路人, 遊覽車, 遊/游客, 大約, 歌迷, 影迷).  .
  2. Go over study guide.
  3. Round robin reading: second half of text passage on page 24. 

Procedure for HS 9P (3/10/11)

Objectives: 1) Students will be able to name various items and places.  2) Students will be able to gain reading/oral fluency. 

功課: Study for quiz tomorrow.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Captains check WB page 38 Section C.  Go over the answer key.  2) Oral presentation (Bailey, David).
    1. Round robin reading: text passages on page 56-61.  Count for class participation grades next week. 
    2. Listening activity: WB page 38 Section B.  Go over the answer key. 
    3. Seat work: WB page 40.   

Procedure for MS 3P (3/10/11)

Objectives: 1) Students will be able to learn simple Chinese characters.  2) Students will be able to learn basic greeting terms.  3) Students will be able to gain geographic knowledge about China.

Homework: Review learned greeting terms and Chinese characters.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Turn in your signature slip, if any.  2) Quick review (Ni Hao, Ni Shi, Wo Shi, Zhang Lao Shi, Zao, Zao An, Zao Shang Hao, Ni Zao, 日, 月).
  2. 1) Teach new terms (Wu An, Wan An, Xie Xie, Bu Xie, Bu Ke Qi).  2) Teach new characters (人, 山, 木).
  3. 1) Introduce Chinese One students.  2) Introduce Chinese Club and Chinese class activities during 2008-2010 school years.
