Procedures for 3/22/11

Procedure for HS 1P (3/22/11)

Objectives: Students will be able to showcase their mastery of Lesson Eight.

Homework: Lesson Nine character definitions.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Take one copy of Lesson Nine characters worksheet.  2) Turn in your Lesson Eight characters worksheet.  3) Makeup work (Jack/Eleln/Jason/Abby/Abdussamad/Josh/Seth: WB page 54; Joe/Ellen/Abdussamad: audacity; Darian: skipped/WB pages 49/52/54; conversation questions).  4) Review Tornado drill procedures.  It will be on tomorrow.
  2. Lesson Eight chapter test. / Lesson Nine characters definitions.

Procedure for HS 2P (3/22/11)

目標: 1) Students will be able to compare/contrast cultural difference between Chinese and America.  2) Students will be able to gain cultural knowledge about Chinese religions.  3) Students will be able to acquire new characters to describe their extracurricular life. 

功課: 1) Write new characters.  2) Complete movie discussion questions.

程序:

  1. 1) Recite poems starting from Wednesday.  2) Culture reading: text pages 36-37.  3) Review Tornado drill procedures.  It will be on tomorrow.  4) Makeup work (Ben: WB pages 42/46; Alex: WB pages 42/46 and definitions).
  2. Teach new characters (活, 又, 目, 無, 聊) with terms (活的 <=> 死的, 生活, 課外生活, 又…又, 節目, 電視節目, 無聊, 聊天).
  3. DVD: A Great Wall.

Procedure for HS 9P (3/22/11)

Objectives: Students will be able to showcase their mastery of Lesson Five.

功課: Lesson Six characters definitions.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Take one copy of Lesson Six characters worksheet.  2) Turn in your Lesson Five characters worksheet.  3) Review Tornado drill procedures.  It will be conducted tomorrow.  4) Makeup work (Antonio: WB page 40/chapter test part I).  5) Questions?

Procedure for MS 3P (3/22/11)

Objectives: 1) Students will be able to showcase their mastery of unit #1 (Basic Greetings).  2) Students will be able to acquire Chinese characters and pronunciation of numbers 1-10.

Homework: 1) Review all learned terms.  2) Complete writing Chinese characters.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Review Tornado drill procedures.  It will be on tomorrow.  2) Quick review (yi, er, san, si, wu) with Chinese characters.  3) Makeup work (Zach/Jonah: cutting paper pattern; Joy: skit/8 Chinese characters/China reading packet; Nick: cutting paper pattern/China reading packet; Phoenix: China reading packet).
  2. Skit performance.
  3. Teach new terms (liu, qi, ba, jiu, shi) with Chinese characters.
  4. Showcase art project samples.
  5. Quiz #1.

Objectives: Students will be able to showcase their mastery of Lesson Eight.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Take one copy of Lesson Nine characters worksheet.  2) Turn in your Lesson Eight characters worksheet.  3) Makeup work (Kerem: WB page 51; Alison: WB page 53; Megan S.: WB pages 51/53; Rachel K.: WB pages 49/51/52/53); 4) Review Tornado drill procedures.  It will be on tomorrow.
