Procedures for 3/16/11

Procedure for HS 1P (3/16/11)

Objectives: Students will be able to name various countries, citizenships and languages. 

Homework: 1) Write new characters.  2) Practice reading text passages on pages 66-69. 

Procedure:

  1. 1) Ms. Chang checks your WB page 53.  Go over the answer key.  2) Quick review (澳洲, 澳洲人, 美洲, 中國, 中文, 中國人, 美國, 美國人, 英國, 英國人, 英文, 美人, 國家, 加拿大, 加拿大人, 日本, 日本人, 日文, 德國, 德文, 德國人, 哪裡, “哪裡, 哪裡”, 這裡, 那裡, 會, 拿, 説, 對不起, 請問).  3) Round robin reading starts tomorrow.
  2. Teach new characters (紐/纽, 西, 蘭/兰, 關, 係/系) with terms (紐西蘭, 紐西蘭人, 關係). 

Procedure for HS 2P (3/16/11)

目標: 1) Students will be able t know religions in China and daily transportation.  2) Students will be able to appreciate Chinese ancient poems.

功課: 1) Memorize poems.  2) WB page 46 #1-#6.  

程序:

1.   1) Ms. Chang checks your Lesson Three characters definition & WB page 42 #1-#6.  2) Take one copy of Chinese poems.  3) Return your chapter test papers.  4) Earn points for memorizing Chinese poems.

2.   Riddle: text page 34.

3.   Culture reading: text pages 36-37.

Procedure for HS 9P (3/16/11)

Objectives: 1) Students will be able to know the usage of ‘的’. 2) Students will be able to review ways to express money. 

功課: Study!!

Procedure:

  1. 1) Take one copy of Lesson Five Study Guide.  2) Go over study guide.  3) Return papers.
  2. Complete text page 65 + WB page 45.

Procedure for MS 3P (3/16/11)

Objectives: 1) Students will be able to gain geographical knowledge about the Great Wall of China.  2) Students will be able to apply gain cultural knowledge about China.  3) Students will be able to expose Chinese folk art: cutting paper.

Homework: 1) Review learned greeting terms.  2) Complete 1 paper cutting paper pattern.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Return papers.  2) Makeup work (Nicholas Z.: paper patterns + Chinese characters).
  2. Pair activity: quiz each other on the greeting terms.
  3. Culture reading: China reading packet (pages 1-3)
  4. DVD: Great Wall.
  5. Cutting paper pattern:  double happiness.

Procedure for MS 5P (3/16/11)

Objectives: 1) Students will be able to name various countries, citizenships and languages.  2) Students will be able to sharpen their cite reading fluency.

Homework: 1) Write new characters.  2) Practice reading text passages on pages 66-69. 

Procedure:

  1. 1) Captains check your WB page 53.  Go over the answer key.  2) Quick review (澳洲, 澳洲人, 美洲, 中國, 中文, 中國人, 美國, 美國人, 英國, 英國人, 英文, 美人, 國家, 加拿大, 加拿大人, 日本, 日本人, 日文, 德國, 德文, 德國人, 哪裡, “哪裡, 哪裡”, 這裡, 那裡, 會, 拿, 説, 對不起, 請問).  3) Makeup work (Kerem, Priya, Alex, Alison, Collin, Megan S., Rachel K. —conversation questions + WB pages 53 + 2 worksheets).  4) Round robin reading starts tomorrow.  5) Interested in having a 12-year-old pen pal in China?
