Procedures for 3/18/11

Procedure for HS 1P (3/18/11)

Objectives: 1) Students will be able to name various countries, languages and citizenships.  2) Students will be able to sharpen their cite-reading proficiency and oral fluency.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Ms. Chang checks your WB pages 49/52.  Go over the answer key.  2) Interested in China Bridge Summer Camp?  Talk to Ms. Chang for details.
    1. Round robin reading.
  2. Practice writing problems.

Procedure for HS 2P (3/18/11)

目標: 1) Students will compare/contrast cultural differences between China and America.  2) Students will be able to appreciate Chinese Tang poems.

功課: 1) Complete movie discussion questions.  2) Memorize poems.

程序:

  1. 1) Makeup work (Alex, Kaitlyn).  2) Interested in China Bridge Summer Camp?  Talk to Ms. Chang for details.
  2. Practice reciting poems.
  3. DVD viewing: A Great Wall.

Procedure for HS 9P (3/18/11)

Objectives: 1) Students will be able to express money, ask about prices and availability of goods.  2) Students will be able to use counting words correctly.

Homework: Study.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Round robin reading text passages.  2) Review counting words.  3) Interested in China Bridge Summer Camp?  Talk to Ms. Chang for details.
  2. Practice writing problems.

Procedure for MS 3P (3/18/11)

Objectives: 1) Students will be proficient in using all learned greeting terms.  2) Students will be able to use chopsticks to pick up food.  3) Students will be able to gain cultural knowledge about how Chinese celebrate New Year and Dragon Boat festivals.

Homework: 1) Review learned greeting terms.  2) Memorize your skit for your performance next Monday.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Return China reading packet.  2) Collect any makeup work.  3) Remind students of upcoming quiz #1 on Tuesday, 3/22/11.
  2. Pair practice: 1) skit and 2) quiz each other all learned greeting terms.
  3. Culture reading: Ancient China reading packet (pages 8-9).  Collect.
  4. Chopsticks practice.
  5. DVD: “Chinese Zodiac Story” + Kung Fu Panda.

Procedure for MS 5P (3/18/11)

Objectives: 1) Students will be able to showcase their cite reading proficiency and speaking fluency.  2) Students will be able to communicate with their pen pal.

Homework: 1) WB page 54.  2) Study for Lesson Eight chapter test.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Take one copy of highlighted Lesson Eight text passages slip + procedure slip.  2) Save your audacity file as < last name >Lesson Eight.WAV.  Submit to Ms. Chang’s folder in O drive.  Turn in your text passages slip with your name on it.
  2. 1) Add a slide of your 2-3 sentences to your PPT.  2) Type up your pen-pal e-mail.  Save and turn in your copy.
  3. Go to P drive and play the interactive Ni Hao 1 game to review for chapter test.
