Procedures for 4/5/11

Procedure for HS 1P (4/5/11)

 

Objectives: 1) Students will be able to polish their listening and speaking skills.  2) Students will be able to gain cultural knowledge about ancient China.    

Homework: WB pages 76 (#1, #3, #4) & 79

Procedure:

  1. 1) Take one copy of Ancient China worksheet.  2) Work at Red lab on Wednesday, 4/6/11.  3) Quick review (籃球, 足球, 棒球, 網球, 游泳, 騎車, 騎馬, 打字, 打工, 打球, 打人).
  2. Conversation questions.
  3. Pass out ancient China worksheet & reading packet.  Pair activity: complete the worksheet.  Collect.

 

Procedure for HS 2P (4/5/11)

 

目標: Students will be able to talk about their life outside school, including TV programs, movies, music, plays and sports.  Students will be able to express their opinions about these topics.

功課: 1) Practice reading text passage on page 38.  2) WB page 43.

程序:

  1. 1) Review terms (教育節目, 兒童節目, 體育節目, 新聞, 天氣預報, 記錄片, 歷史片, 音樂會).  2) Round robin reading on Friday, 4/8/11.  3) Recite poems due on Monday, 4/11/11.  4) Meet at the Red Lab on Thursday, 4/7/11.
  2. 1) Read the text passage on page 38.  2) Review poems.
  3. Seat work: WB page 43.  Complete as homework tonight.

Procedure for HS 9P (4/5/11)

 

Objectives: 1) Students will be able to compose two-three paragraphs about their birthday, their daily routine, the description of their family house/apartment, their preferences of colors and clothing items, and one or two shopping experiences.  2) Students will be able to play an interactive game to review terms for prices and items.

Homework: Complete the paragraphs.  Due on Thursday, 4/7/11.

Procedure:

  1. Please type a paragraph about your birthday, your daily routine, and your house/apartment.
  2. Please type a second paragraph about your preferences of colors and clothing items, and one or two shopping experiences (when you shopped, what you shopped, and how much you spent, etc).  Use the checklist as your reference.
  3. If you complete all 2-3 paragraphs, please go to http://edu.ocac.gov.tw/lang/chineselearn/ try the second button from the left on the screen (dialogue Chamber).  Select either listening or reading for review.

 

Procedure for MS 3P (4/5/11)

 

Objectives: 1) Students will be able to explore origami.  2) Students will be able showcase their mastery of unit #2: numbers.

Homework: N/A

Procedure:

  1. 1) Quick review (yi, er, san, si, wu, liu, qi, ba, jiu, shi, ling, bai) with Chinese characters and 8 simple Chinese characters.  2) Turn in your 12-character writing assignment and connecting the dots worksheet.  3) Quiz #3: Tuesday, 4/12/11.
  2. Quiz #2.
  3. Origami.  Collect for grades.
  4. Teach typing pinyin on line.

 

Procedure for MS 5P (4/5/11)

 

Objectives: Students will be able to polish their speaking and listening skills.

Homework: WB pages 76 (#1, #3, #4) & 79

Procedure:

  1. 1) Turn in your Ancient China “Sentences + Matching” worksheet.  2) Go over the answer key.  3) Quick review (籃球, 足球, 棒球, 網球, 游泳, 騎車, 騎馬, 打字, 打工, 打球).
  2. Song time.
  3. Practice conversation for quiz tomorrow.
  4. Practice conversation questions, work on your pen-pal emails or homework tonight.
