Procedures for 4/7/11

Procedure for HS 1P (4/7/11)

 

Objectives: 1) Students will be able to name various sports.  2) Students will be able to polish their listening skill.

Homework: WB page 58 (#1-#8)

Procedure:

  1. 1) Take one copy of Sports handout.  2) Ms. Chang checks your WB page 56.  Go over the answer key.  3) Get one paper fastener.  Fix your wheel of sports.  4) Quick review (籃球, 足球, 棒球, 網球, 游泳, 騎車, 跑步, 乒乓球).
  2. Teach new terms (星期日 / 星期一 / 星期二 / 星期三 / 星期四 / 星期五 / 星期六 / 壘球 保齡球  武術   溜冰).
  3. Read text passage on page 77.
  4. Pass out answer sheets for listening comprehension.  Collect.

 

 

 

 

Procedure for HS 2P (4/7/11)

 

Objectives: Students will be able to review learned vocabulary and polish their listening skill.

Homework: WB page 29.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Turn in your 4-sentence assignment.  2) Take one copy of procedure slip.
  2. Activate Internet Explorer and go to http://kid.chinese.cn/en/article/2009-09/25/content_68533.htm .   Click any number under Happy Chinese on left-hand menu and there will be three lessons for you to proceed.  Click any lesson and click situational cartoon and situational video to listen to the dialogue.
  3. Go to www.treyschinalife.blogspot.com for Trey’s blog.
  4. Go to Ms. Chang’s folder under P drive and click Ni Hao II or III for interactive review game.

 

**  WB page 29 #5: change fifth channel into 2nd channel.

 

 

Procedure for HS 9P (4/7/11)

 

Objectives: Students will be able to invite friends for an activity, accept / decline an invitation and answer questions about availability.

Homework: WB pages 47-48.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Turn in your paragraphs with checklist.  2) Quick review (拜, 訪, 空, 玩, 住, 錄, 帶 號/号, 碼/码, 街, 皇, 后, 事, 位, 等).
  2. Read text passage on page 70 for round robin reading tomorrow.
  3. Model WB pages 47-48.
  4. Teach “Usage of “ + 位Video.
  5. Conversation activities: 1) Inviting / Declining w/excuse.  2) Socializing.

 

 

 

Procedure for MS 3P (4/7/11)

 

Objectives: 1) Students will be able to talk about their name, age, family and their birthday.  2) Students will be able to gain cultural/geographic knowledge about places in China.

Homework: Review learned terms.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Return papers.  2) Quick review (baba, mama, gege, didi, jiejie, meimei).
  2. Teach new terms (sui, jia, you, ge ren, he).
  3. 1) Build sentences #1-#4.  2) Pair practice reading 4 sentences.
  4. DVD: places in China.

 

Procedure for MS 5P (4/7/11)

 

Objectives: 1) Students will be able to name various sports.  2) Students will be able to polish their listening skill.

Homework: WB page 58 (#1-#8)

Procedure:

  1. 1) Captains check your WB page 56.  2) Go over the answer key.  3) Get one paper fastener.  Fix your wheel of sports.  4) Quick review (籃球, 足球, 棒球, 網球, 游泳, 騎車, 跑步, 乒乓球).
