Procedures for 4/8/11

Procedure for HS 1P (4/8/11)

 

Objectives: 1) Students will be able to express their preferences.  2) Students will be able to polish their listening skill.

Homework: 1) Write new characters.  2) Text passages on pages 77-78.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Ms. Chang checks your WB page 58 (#1-#8).  2) Quick review (籃球, 足球, 棒球, 網球, 游泳, 騎車, 跑步, 乒乓球, 打, 踢).
  2. Teach new characters (喜, 歡/欢, 最, 運/运, 動/动) with terms (喜歡/欢, 喜爱, 歡/欢喜, 喜好, 爱好, 運/运动, 好運/运, 祝好運/运, 運/运球, 動/动物, 動/动人, 動/动词).
  3. Read text passage on pages 77-78.
  4. 1) Listening comprehension: WB pages 55/Section A and 57/Section C (1: 最不喜歡/欢 => 2.  不喜歡/欢 => 3: 喜歡/欢; => 4: 最喜歡/欢).  2) Go over the answer key.

 

 

 

Procedure for HS 2P (4/8/11)

 

Objectives: Students will be able to review learned vocabulary and polish their listening skill.

Homework: 1) Write new characters.  2) WB page 32.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Turn in your 4-sentence assignment.  2) Ms. Chang will check your WB pages 29 & 32 next Monday.  3) Reciting poems: Monday, 4/11/11.
  2. Quick review (生活, 課外生活, 又…又, 節目, 電視節目, 無聊, 聊天, 活的, 死的, 兒 童, 教育, 兒子, 女兒, 頻道, 頻頻, 卡通, 信用卡, 通通, 教育節目, 兒童節目, 體育節目, 新聞, 天氣預報, 記錄片, 歷史片, 音樂會, 連續劇, 舞台劇, 歌劇, 劇本, 喜劇, 聽說, 意思, 整人, 一整天).
  3. Teach new characters (每, 谈, 恋, 吵, 架) with terms (每天,每个人,每个月,每个星期,恋爱,谈恋爱,吵架,打架,吵).
  4. Round robin reading: text page 38.

 

 

 

Procedure for HS 9P (4/8/11)

 

Objectives: Students will be able to invite friends for an activity, accept / decline an invitation and answer questions about availability.  2) Students will be able to hold a conversation when visiting a family.

Homework: 1) Write new characters.  2) WB page 49.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Return papers.  2) Captains check WB pages 47-48.  3) Go over the answer key.
  2. 1) Quick review (拜, 訪, 空, 玩, 住, 錄, 帶, 號/号, 碼/码, 街, 皇, 后, 事, 位, 等).  2) Teach new characters (茶, 介, 绍, 叔, 阿, 姨) with terms (喝水, 喝茶, 喝牛奶, 喝果汁, 喝咖啡, 马上, 介绍, 叔叔, 阿姨, 姨妈).
  3. Round robin reading: text page 70.
  4. Read text passages on page 71.
  5. Conversation activities: 1) Inviting / Declining w/excuse & 2) Socializing, if time allows.

 

 

 

Procedure for MS 3P (4/8/11)

 

Objectives: 1) Students will be able to talk about their birthday.  2) Students will be able to gain cultural/geographic knowledge about places in China.

Homework: Review learned terms.

Procedure:

  1. Quick review (baba, mama, gege, didi, jiejie, meimei, sui, jia, you, ge ren, he).
  2. Teach new terms (shengri, nian).
  3. 1) Build sentence #5.  2) Pair practtice reading all 5 sentences.  3) Collect.
  4. DVD: places in China / Chinese Civilization and Arts.
  5. Make flash cards.

Objectives: 1) Students will be able to express their preferences.  2) Students will be able to polish their listening skill.
