Procedures for 4/14/11

Procedure for HS 1P (4/14/11)

 

Objectives: Students will be able to talk about their favorite sports and to invite people to play sports.

Homework: Prepare sentences for PPT + study for audacity tomorrow.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Take one copy of Lesson Nine Study Guide.  2) Makeup work (Abdussamad: listening comprehension + WB pages 58 (#1-#8) + 56.  3) , 足球, 棒球, 網球, 游泳, 騎車, 跑步, 乒乓球, 打, 踢, 喜歡/欢, 最, 運動/运动, 最不喜歡/欢 => 不喜歡/欢 => 喜歡/欢 => 最喜歡/欢, 去, 喂, 吧, 走, 忙).  3) Lesson Nine chapter test: Monday, 4/18/11; Audacity recording: Friday, 4/15.  4) Ms. Chang checks your WB pages 58 (#9-#13) + 62. .  5) Go over the answer key.
  2. 1) Read text passages on pages 77-79.  2) Go over sentence patterns on pages 80-81
  3. 1) Go over study guide.  2) Practice writing problems.
  4. Write sentences about your favorite sports and your skill for your PPT.

 

Procedure for HS 2P (4/14/11)

 

Objectives: Students will be able to familiarize themselves with various TV programs, movie and music genres.

Homework: 1) Study for quiz on Monday.  2) Continue to brainstorm PPT.

Procedure:

  1. Ms. Chang checks your WB page 38 #1-#4 and collects your two sentences (聽說, 一整天).
  2. Independent work.

 

Procedure for HS 9P (4/14/11)

Objectives: Students will be able to invite friends for an activity, accept / decline an invitation and answer questions about availability.  2) Students will be able to hold a conversation when visiting a family.

Homework: 1) Write new characters.  2) WB page 59.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Take one copy of Lesson Seven characters worksheet.  2) Lesson Six/Seven quiz #1: Wednesday, 4/20/11.  3) Round robin reading: pages 71-73: Tuesday, 4/19/11.  4) Meet at media center on Friday, 4/15.
  2. 1) Ms. Chang checks your WB page 57.  Go over the answer key.  2) Quick review (拜, 訪, 空, 玩, 住, 錄, 帶, 號/号, 碼/码, 街, 皇, 后, 事, 位, 等, 喝茶, 马上, 介绍, 叔叔, 阿姨, 姨妈, 矽谷, 山谷, 父母, 父亲, 母亲, 双亲).
  3. Teach new terms (作, 教, 招, 待, 擾/扰) with terms (工作, 教室, 教書/书, 教室, 中學/学, 高中, 初中, 上班, 上學/学, 招待, 打擾)
  4. Rea text pages 71-73.
  5. Pair/Group work: Skit.

 

Procedure for MS 3P (4/14/11)

 

Objectives: 1) Students will be able to talk about their preferences of animals and sports.  2) Students will be able to explore Tangram pieces

Homework: Review learned terms.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Makeup quiz (Kaitlyn). 2) Quick review (hong se, huang se, hei se, bai se).  3) Teach new terms (lu se, lan se, zi se, zong se).
  2. 1) Build sentence #10.  2) Pair reading: sentences #1-#10.
  3. Video clips: Tough guys.
  4. Tangram game time.
  5. Culture reading: Chinese names / Finger-Guessing game.
