Procedures for 4/28/11

Procedure for HS 1P (4/28/11)

Objective(s): Students will be able to introduce their friends, to talk about the grade they are in, and to describe facial features.

Homework: 1) Write new characters.  2) Add sentences to your PPT. 

Procedure:

  1. 1) Return your paragraph.  2) Ms. Chang checks your WB page 63.  Go over the answer key.  3) Quick review (眼睛, 耳朵, 鼻子, 眉毛, 頭, 頭髮, 嘴巴=口, 臉, 長, 短, 朋, 友).
  2. Teach new characters (上, 級, 校, 同, 班) with terms (上學, 上班, 上網, 年級, 學校, 同學 ó 學生, 同校, 同班, 校車).
  3. 1) Songs time.  2) Read text passage on page 85.  3) Conversation session.

 

Procedure for HS 2P (4/28/11)

Objectives: Students will be able to familiarize themselves with various TV programs, movie and music genres.

Homework: 1) Practice reading text passages on pages 40-41.  2) WB page 37 (9 terms).

Procedure:

  1. 1) Quick review (排隊, 一隊, 一場, 有名的 => 很有名的 = 有名氣 ó 沒有名氣, 搖滾樂, 搖滾樂隊, 樂隊, 音樂會, 音樂家, 畫家, 歌星, 歌唱家, 興趣).  2) Round robin reading tomorrow.
  2. Read text passages on pages 40-41.
  3. Class activity: WB page 35 (write questions, interview, and share result).

 

Procedure for HS 9P (4/2811)

Objectives: Students will be able to hold conversation when they make a phone call or visit a friend.

Homework: 1) Practice reading text passages on pages 70-73 & 82-84.  2) WB pages 53 / 64. 

Procedure:

  1. 1) Return papers (skit, 5 sentences).  2) Makeup work (sentences).  3) Lessons 6 & 7 chapter test: Friday, 5/6.
  2. Skit presentation.
  3. 1) Quick review (拜訪, 空, 玩, 住, 錄, 帶, 號/号, 碼/码, 街, 皇, 后, 事, 位, 等, 喝茶, 马上, 介绍, 叔叔, 阿姨, 姨妈, 矽谷, 山谷, 父母, 父亲, 母亲, 双亲, 過癮, 回來, 一回, 一回事, 怎麼一回事, 我就是, 中國城, 左右, 一會兒, 接球, 時鐘, 門鈴, 電鈴).  2) Read text passages on pages 70-73 and 82-84.
  4. Sentence pattern: text pages 77 / 88 (吃一下, 穿一下, 寫一下, 聽一下, 看一下, 坐一下, etc).
  5. Pair work: 1) Fix your sentence mistakes.  2) WB page 61.  Will continue tomorrow.

 

Procedure for MS 3P (4/28/11)

Objectives: 1) Students will be able to know their teacher and classroom expectations.  2) Students will be able to learn simple Chinese greeting terms.

Homework: Student Inventory. 

Procedure:

  1. 1) Sit on your assigned seat, please.  2) Get team assignment information.  3) Pass out/go over Students Inventory worksheet.  Collect if you are done.  Due tomorrow.
  2. Pass out/go over Introduction to Hanyu Pinyin handout / Basic Greeting Terms and Classroom Expressions.
  3. Teach new terms (Ni Hao, Ni Shi, Wo Shi).

 

Procedure for MS 5P (4/28/11)

Objectives: Students will be able to introduce their friends, to talk about the grade they are in, and to describe facial features.

Homework: 1) Write new characters.  2) Add sentences to your PPT. 

Procedure:

1.   1) Take one copy of Lesson Ten Supplementary Terms handout.  2) Turn in your PPT, if you have not earned your credit yet.

2.   1) Quick review (朋, 友, 頭, 髮, 臉, 大/小/老/女/男朋友, 頭, 頭髮).  2) Teach new characters (眼, 睛, 耳, 朵, 鼻子) with terms (眼睛, 耳朵, 鼻子).  3) Go over Supplementary Terms handout.

4.   Song time.

5.   Conversation questions.

6.   Seat work: write 5 sentences about yourself.  Collect.
