Procedures for 4/15/11

Procedure for HS 1P (4/15/11)

Objectives: 1) Students will be able to showcase their mastery of Lesson Nince text passages.  2) Students will be able to describe their nationality, language skill, favaoriate sports, and their sports skill.

Homework: Study for chapter test


  1. Take one headset, one copy of highlighted Lesson Nine text passages slip and one copy of procedure slip.
  2. Make your recording, name your file: < lastname >LessonNine.WAV, submit to HS1P under Ms. Chang’s folder in O drive and return your text passage slip with your name on it.
  3. Log onto Trey Rainey’s blog: www.treyschinalife.blogspot.com to read his new experience.
  4. Enter two new slides about your nationality, language skils (what language you can speak and how well you can speak it), your favoriate sports, and how well you can play it with clip arts or digital pictures.  Print out these slides in handout layout and turn in!
  5. Go to Ms. Chang’s folder in P drive and play Ni Hao1 interactive game to review Lesson 9.


Procedures for HS 2P (4/15/11)

Objectives: Students will be able to familiarize themselves with various TV, movie and music genres.

Homework: 1) Study for your vocabulary quiz.  2) Write new characters.  3) Practice reading text passages on page 39-40. 


  1. 1) Makeup work (Ben: WB pages; Alex: WB pages + poems; Lauren: 2 sentences; Josiah: WB pages).  2) Return papers.
  2. 1)  Teach new characters (恐, 怖, 緊, 刺, 激) with terms (恐怖, 緊張, 刺激, 刺刀, 恐怕, 激流, 激動).   2) Read text pages 38-40.
  3. Conversation questions.



Procedure for HS 9P (4/15/11)

Objectives: Students will be able to invite friends for an activity, accept / decline an invitation, answer questions about availability and hold a conversation when visiting a family.

Homework: 1) WB page 60.  2) Study for vocabulary for quiz on Wednesday.

  1. 1) Makeup work (Anthony—WB pages 47-48, Bryan/Pamela/Adam Y.: page 57; Bailey: round robin reading + WB pages 49 + 57; Antonio: WB page 57).  2) Ms. Chang collects your WB page 59, passes out Lesson Seven text passages slip and return papers.
  2. Pair/Group work: type up your skit.  Turn in your draft (one copy for each pair/group) for grade.


Procedure for MS 3P (4/15/11)

Objectives: 1) Students will be able to learn 11 colors.  2) Students will be able to explore Tangram pieces.

Homework: Work on your art project.


  1. 1) Makeup work (Kaitlyn, Nick, Saman: draft #2).  2) Return your papers.  3) Quiz #4: Tuesday, 4/19; Art project due on Wednesday, 4/20 and oral presentation is on Thursday, 4/21.
  2. 1) Quick review (hong se, huang se, hei se, bai se, zi se, zong se, lan se, lu se).  2) Teach new terms (cheng se, hui se, fen hong se).
  3. Culture reading: Chinese food.
  4. Tangram pieces.
