Procedures for 4/21/11

Procedure for HS 1P (4/21/11)

Objectives: 1) Students will be able to describe their facial features.  2) Students will be able to gain culture knowledge about Man-made marvel in Taiwan.

Homework: Write new characters.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Makeup work (PPT draft: Jack, Claire, Josh, Darian, Abdussamad).  2) Makeup test (Darian).  3) Return papers (Abdussamad).
  2. 1) Quick review (眼, 睛, 耳, 朵, 鼻) with terms (眼睛, 耳朵, 鼻子).  2) Learn new characters (眉, 頭 , 髮, 嘴, 巴) with terms (眉毛, 頭, 頭髮, 嘴巴=口).
  3. DVD: Manmade Marvel: Taipei 101.

 

Procedures for HS 2P (4/21/11)

Objectives: Students will be able to familiarize themselves with various TV, movie and music genres.

Homework: Practice reading your PPT and text passages on pages 40 and 41.       

Procedure:

  1. 1) Return papers (Lauren, Ben, Alex).  2) Makeup work (Josiah, Ben & Alex: round robin reading/WB page 30).
  2. Complete your PPT.
  3. Chinese IV: oral semester exam.

 

Procedure for HS 9P (4/21/11)

 

Objectives: Students will be able to invite friends for an activity, accept / decline an invitation, answer questions about availability and hold a conversation when visiting a family.

Homework: Practice reading your skit for presentation on Tuesday.

Procedure:

1.   1) Ms. Chang returns your skit draft and WB page 58.  2) Makeup work (Antonio: WB pages; Antonio: round robin reading).

2.   Quiz.

3.   Pair/Group work: go over and fix your mistakes.

 

 

Procedure for MS 3P (4/21/11)

Objectives: 1) Students will be able to talk about themselves.  2) Students will be able to familiarize themselves with body part terms.

Homework: N/A

Procedure:

  1. 1) Makeup work (Phoenix / Saman: quiz #4; Phoenix / Joy / Julia / Colin: art project).
  2. Oral presentation.
  3. Game time: Simon Says..

 

 

Procedure for MS 5P (4/21/11)

Objectives: 1) Students will be able to showcase their mastery of Lesson Nine materials.  2) Students will be able to describe their nationality, language skill, favorite sports, and their sports skill.

Homework: 1) Lesson Ten characters definitions.  2) Fix your PPT mistakes.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Take one copy of Lesson Ten characters worksheet.  2) Turn in your Lesson Nine characters worksheet.  3) Model pronunciation (Rachel L., Jordan, Sam, Kyle, Keiichi, Julia, Alan).  4) Ms. Chang returns your audacity slip and PPT draft.  5) Makeup work (Kate—WB page and audacity; Cole: WB pages/audacity; Alison: audacity).  6) Go over common mistakes (zou3 not zuo3, qu4, wang3, wei4 not wei2).
  2. Fix your PPT mistakes and resubmit for your credit!
