Procedures for 4/26/11

Procedure for HS 1P (4/26/11)

Objective(s): Students will be able to introduce their friends, to talk about the grade they are in, and to describe facial features.

Homework: 1) Write new characters.  2) Complete a paragraph about yourself. 

Procedure:

  1. 1) Take one copy of Lesson Ten text passages.  2) Quick review (眼睛, 耳朵, 鼻子, 眉毛, 頭, 頭髮, 嘴巴=口).
  2. Teach new characters (臉, 長, 短, 朋, 友) with terms (朋友).
  3. 1) Review songs.  2) Read text passage on page 85.
  4. Go over supplementary terms.
  5. 1) Pair activity: Describe your facial features.  2) Class work: write description of yourself.

 

Procedure for HS 2P (4/26/11)

Objectives: Students will be able to familiarize themselves with various TV programs, movie and music genres.

Homework: N/A

Procedure:

  1. Turn in your PPT w/checklist.
  2. Oral presentation.

 

 

Procedure for HS 9P (4/26/11)

Objectives: Students will be able to hold conversation when they make a phone call or visit a friend.

Homework: Make 5 sentences (一起, 可是, 過癮, 可以, 馬上). 

Procedure:

  1. 1) Turn in your skit script w/checklist, and/or flash drive.  2) Makeup work (Kathryn, Antonio, Anthony, Collin).
  2. Skit presentation.
  3. If time allows, 1) Quick review (拜訪, 空, 玩, 住, 錄, 帶, 號/号, 碼/码, 街, 皇, 后, 事, 位, 等, 喝茶, 马上, 介绍, 叔叔, 阿姨, 姨妈, 矽谷, 山谷, 父母, 父亲, 母亲, 双亲, 過癮, 回來, 一回, 一回事, 怎麼一回事, 我就是, 中國城, 左右, 一會兒).  2) Read text passages on pages 70-73 and 82-84.

 

 

Procedure for MS 3P (4/26/11)

Objectives: 1) Students will be able to showcase their oral proficiency in introducing themselves to their classmates.  2) Students will be able to know all direction terms.

Homework: N/A

Procedure:

  1. 1) Return all papers.  2) Quick review (shang4, xia4, zuo3, you4, qian2).
  2. Oral presentation.
  3. Game time: Pin the Tail on the Donkey.
  4. Browse through Chinese cookbooks.
  5. DVD: Chinese Civilization and Arts, if time allows.

 

Procedure for MS 5P (4/26/11)

Objectives: Students will be able to introduce their friends, to talk about the grade they are in, and to describe facial features.

Homework: Write new characters. 

Procedure:

1.   1) Take one copy of Lesson Ten text passages.  2) Turn in your PPT.  3) Makeup test (Cole, Keiichi).  4) Makeup work (Alison, Cole).

2.   1) Return papers (test, worksheet).  2) Go over common mistakes (游, 泳, 乒, 乓, 步, 球, 網).

3.   Teach new characters (朋, 友, 頭, 髮, 臉) with terms (大/小/老/女/男朋友, 頭, 頭髮).

4.   Song time.

5.   Conversation questions
