Procedures for 5/13/11

Procedure for HS 1P (5/13/11)

 

Objectives: Students will be able to showcase their oral fluency through presenting a skit.  Homework: Review learned terms. 

Procedure:

  1. 1) Quick review (餓, 渴, 喝, 吃, 想, 口渴, 喝水, 很餓, 很渴, 好餓, 好渴).  2) Return papers (characters worksheet, audacity, PPT).  3) Abdussamad, Shaina, Stefan, Troy and Darian talk to Ms. Chang, please.
  2. Skit presentation.
  3. Voki sharing.

 

Procedure for HS 2P (5/13/11)

 

目標: 1) Students will be able to polish their listening and speaking skills.  2) Students will be able to use comparative and superlative sentence patterns.

功課: 1) WB page 39 (#4-#8).  2) Conversation session: WB page 33.  3) Round robin reading: text page 43.

程序:

  1. 1) Ms. Chang checks WB pages 31/34 (Alex, Josiah, Ben).  Makeup test/work (Lauren, Ben: Lesson Three part I / WB pages).  2) Ms. Chang checks WB page 34 (Lauren, Kaitlyn, Cecilia).  3) Read text page 43.
  2. 1) Quick review (北京, 南京, 京劇/剧, 票價/价, 價錢/价钱, 開/开始, 排隊/队).  2) Reteach new character (比, 較/较, 更) with terms (比較/较).
  3. Teach sentence pattern: page 49 (A 比較/较 < adj 1 > / B 比較/较 < adj 2 >; A 比 B < adj >)

 

Procedure for HS 9P (5/13/11)

 

Objectives: Students will be able to hold a conversation when they dine out.

功課: WB page 66

Procedure:

  1. 1) Turn in your 5-sentence homework.  Take one copy of telephone dialogue slip.  2) Aashna/Bailey talk to Ms. Chang, please.  3) Quick review (剛好, 剛剛, 飯館, 一起, 出去, 回來, 帶, 時間, 回家, 因為, 留下來, 所以, 邀請, 常常, 時常, 不常, 平常, 尤其, 飲茶).
  2. 1) Frequency degrees: 常/常常/時常, 平常, 不常, 有時候, 什麼時候.  2) 飯館 = 館子.
  3. 1) Pair activity: Telephone conversation slip practice.  2) Present skit dialogue.

 

Procedure for MS 3P (5/13/11)

 

Objectives: 1) Students will be able to showcase their mastery of basic greeting terms.  2) Students will be able to handle chopsticks.

Homework: Review learned terms.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Quick review (Ni Hao, Ni Shi, Wo Shi, Zai Jian, Xie Xie, Zhang Lao Shi, Bu Xie, Bu Ke Qi, Wu An, Wan An, Zao, Ni Zao, Zao An, Zao Shang Hao, Dong Le ma, Dong le, Bu Dong, ri, Dui Bu Qi, Mei Guan Xi, Shang Ke, Xia Ke, Qi Li, Jing Li, Zuo Xia, Qing Zuo).  2) Quiz #1.
  2. 1) Quick review numbers (#1-#10).  2) Teach new terms (0, 100) with Chinese characters.  3) Teach Chinese counting principle.
  3. 1) Showcase art projects (movies).  2) Chopsticks practice.

 

Procedure for MS 5P (5/13/11)

 

Objectives: Students will be able to create a Voki with a sound recording of their physical description.

Homework: Practice your skit for next Monday’s presentation.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Makeup work (Kerem/Alan/Keiichi/Ryan/Alex/Brandon S.: PPT; Alan/Priya: audacity).  2) Get one Voki instruction sheet, today’s procedure and one microphone.  Make your recording first.
  2. Follow the instructions to create a Voki with your preferred background, outfits, etc and upload it with your sound recording.  Publish and send it to Ms. Chang’s e-mail address (changj@bbhcsd.org).
  3. Go to P drive and click Ni Hao 1 interactive game under Ms. Chang’s folder to review Lesson Ten.
