Procedures for 5/25/11

Procedure for HS 1P (5/25/11)

 

Objectives: 1) Students will be able to express food preferences and name some Chinese food.  2) Students will be able to gain fluency in conversation dialogue.    

Homework: 1) Write new characters.  2) PPT file/printout due on Friday, 5/27/11.   

Procedure:

  1. 1) Turn in your sentences about your friend.  2) Ms. Chang checks your WB pages 73 & 76 (#2 & #5).  3) Go over the answer key.  4) Return your sentences of preferred food and drink.  5) Work at Red Lab tomorrow to finalize your PPT.  Bring in your flash drive, if necessary.
  2. 1) Quick review (口渴, 喝水, 很餓, 很渴, 好餓, 好渴, 想吃, 三明治, 水果, 果汁, 牛奶, 奶水, 喜歡, 歡喜, 中國菜, 炒飯, 炒菜, 真的啊, 筷子, 可是, 不客氣/气= 別客氣/气, 全家, 全班, 全國/国, 太太 ó 先生, 太好了, 熱/热水, 熱/热狗).  2) Teach new characters (炸, 冰, 肉, 雞, 蝦) with terms (冰水, 冰棒, 牛肉, 雞肉, 豬肉, 魚肉, 炸雞, 炸蝦).
  3. Conversation dialogue session.

 

Procedure for HS 2P (5/25/11)

 

目標: 1) Students will be able to gain cultural knowledge about Chinese folk arts.  2) Students will be able to appreciate Chinese songs.  3) Students will be able to acquire action and adjective characters for playing/performing Chinese ancient instruments.

功課: 1) Write new characters.  2) Study for chapter test part II tomorrow.

程序:

  1. 1) Round robin reading page 44: Wednesday, 6/1/11.  2) Finish reading text passages on pages 54-55.
  2. Teach new characters (拉, 吹, 首, 精, 彩) with terms (推 ó 拉, 吹牛, 味精, 精彩).
  3. Read text passage on page 44.
  4. Music appreciation.
  5. Brainstorm your Jeopardy game questions/answers.  Will e-mail you categories today.

 

Procedure for HS 9P (5/25/11)

 

Objectives: Students will be able to showcase their oral proficiency in answering oral questions.

功課: 1) Study for quiz tomorrow.  2) Practice your oral semester exam.  3) WB page 71.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Go over all settings with different scenarios again.  Questions?  2) Bonus work due on the midnight of Friday, 5/27/11.  Please e-mail with your answers/questions.  No guarantee that you earn the bonus points.  It is only for the good, creative sets.
  2. Senior oral exam ó seat work: 1) WB page 71, 2) practice/draft your part of oral dialogue, 3) study for quiz.

 

Procedure for MS 3P (5/25/11)

Objectives: 1) Students will be able to talk about their phone number and address.  2) Students will be able to make flash cards for colors unit.

Homework: Review learned terms.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Oral presentation: Monday (6/6) and Wednesday (6/8/11).  2) Quick review (baba, mama, gege, didi, jiejie, meimei, he, jia, sui, you, ge ren, liang, de, sheng ri, nian).  2) Review address format.  Build sentences #6-#7.
  2. Pass out colored strips for flash cards.  2) Makeup work (Maddy M., Rachel L., Sarah, Olivia, Lina).

 

Procedure for MS 5P (5/25/11)

 

Objectives: 1) Students will be able to showcase their oral proficiency.  2) Students will be able to acquire various terms for food and drink.

Homework: 1) Write new characters.  2) Study for semester exam.  3) WB page 77

Procedure:

  1. 1) Take one copy of Study Guide.  2) Captains check WB pages 73 & 76 (#2 & #5).  3) Go over the answer key.
