Procedures for 5/27/11

Procedure for HS 1P (5/27/11)

 

Objectives: Students will be able to showcase their oral proficiency.

Homework: 1) Write new characters.  2) WB page 69 (partial).  

Procedure:

  1. 1) Turn in your PPT printout w/checklist.  Put your flash drive into a snack bag with a sticky note and your name on it.  2) Bonus work (Jeopardy Review Game): half point for each question/answer pair.  Up to 5 points.  E-mail Ms. Chang by next Tuesday.  Printout hardcopy or hand-written work not acceptable!  Categories include: 1) countries, 2) pets, 3) food, 4) sports, 5) school supplies, 6) family members, 7) numbers, 8) body parts, and 9) polite expressions.
  2. Teach new characters (春, 捲, 漢, 堡, 片) with terms (春捲, 龍捲風, 漢堡, 漢語, 漢人, 城堡, 春天, 冰淇淋).
  3. Oral semester exam ó Class work: 1) Go over text page 102 for reading comprehension. 2) Culture reading: textbook page 101, and 3) WB page 69.

 

Procedure for HS 2P (5/27/11)

 

目標: Students will be able to know Chinese formats of a letter, a note, and a diary entry.

功課: 1) Write new characters.  2) Study for semester exam.

程序:

  1. 1) Return test papers.  Questions?  2) Seniors, turn in your textbook and characters worksheet, please.  3) Ms.  Chang checks your workbook.  3) Check ProgressBook over this weekend for accuracy, please.  4) Bonus work?  Less points if you are still interested!!  5) Round robin reading page 44: Wednesday, 6/1/11.
  2. 1) Teach new characters (賓, 掌) with terms (來賓, 賓客, 客人, 請客, 掌聲, 手掌, 腳掌, 鼓掌).  2) Read textbook page 44.

 

Procedure for HS 9P (5/27/11)

 

Objectives: 1) Students will be able to showcase their oral proficiency in carrying out a conversation at a restaurant, in visiting friends, shopping and making a phone call.  2) Students will be able to acquire terms for food.

功課: 1) Write new characters.  2) WB page 72. 

Procedure:

1.   1) Jacklyn + Benita + Eddie, please turn in your textbook and Lesson Eight characters worksheet.  2) Return papers (quiz, H/W, etc).  2) Makeup work (WB page 71??).  3) Makeup quiz (Jay, Michaela, Adam Y., Caelan).  4) Check ProgressBook for accuracy over this weekend, please.

2.   Oral exam ó 1) Read text passages on pages 97-98.  2) Culture reading: text pages 103-104.

 

Procedure for MS 3P (5/27/11)

 

Objectives: 1) Students will be able to showcase their mastery of family unit.  2) Students will be able to acquire terms for animals.

Homework:

Procedure:

  1. 1) Quick review (baba, mama, gege, didi, jiejie, meimei, he, jia, sui, you, ge ren, liang, de, sheng ri, nian).  2) Quiz #3.
  2. 1) Teach (hong se, huang se, hei se, bai se, xi huan, zui).  2) Pair practice: read sentences #6-#7.  3) Supplementary terms for animals?  4) Build sentence #8.
  3. DVDs: Chinese language program in American schools.

Procedure:
