Procedure for HS 1P (5/10/11)


Objectives: Students will be able to create an animated avatar with background recording to describe their physical description.

Homework: Study for Lesson Ten Chapter Test.


  1. 1) Get one headset and one VOKI instruction sheet.  2) Make your own recording first. 3) Turn in your Lesson Ten characters worksheet tomorrow.   4) Any makeup work (skit, PPT, audacity, etc)?
  2. Create your own Voki and upload your recording.
  3. Publish your VOKI and send it to Ms. Chang (changj@bbhcsd.org).
  4. Go to Ms. Chang’s folder under P drive and click Ni Hao 1 interactive game to review Lesson Ten material.


Procedure for HS 2P (5/10/11)


目標: Students will be able to express their preferences of sports, music, movies, and other entertainment forms. Check out rental services at www.leddisplayrentals.net for more details.

功課: 1) Write new characters.  2) Practice reading text passages on page 43.


  1. 1) Quick review (交響樂/响乐, 歌劇/剧, 歌劇/剧院, 排球, 橄欖/榄球, 比賽/赛, 球迷, 電視迷, 芭蕾舞, 跳舞).  2) Makeup work (Ben: test + WB pages).
  2. Teach new characters (京, 價/价, 開/开, 始) with terms (北京, 南京, 京劇/剧, 票價/价, 價錢/价钱, 開/开始, 排隊/队).
  3. Conversation session: WB page 33.


Procedure for HS 9P (5/10/11)


Objectives: Students will be able to hold a conversation in a restaurant setting.

功課: 1) Write new characters.  2) Review conversation questions.


  1. 1) Captains check your Lesson Eight characters definitions.  2) Makeup work (characters worksheet?  Adam F.).  Makeup test (Anthony, Cait).
  2. 1) Browse through Lesson Eight content.  2) Teach new characters (剛, 館, 留, 因, 為) with terms (剛好, 飯館, 一起, 出去, 回來, 帶, 時間, 回家, 因為).
  3. Practice conversation questions (telephone conversation + visiting).
  4. Pair activity.



Procedure for MS 3P (5/10/11)


Objectives: 1) Students will be able to learn basic greeting terms.  2) Students

Homework: 1) Review all learned terms.  2) Practice your skit for presentation tomorrow.


  1. 1) Quick review (Ni Hao, Ni Shi, Wo Shi, Zai Jian, Xie Xie, Zhang Lao Shi, Bu Xie, Bu Ke Qi, Wu An, Wan An, Zao, Ni Zao, Zao An, Zao Shang Hao, Dong Le ma, Dong le, Bu Dong, ri, Dui Bu Qi, Mei Guan Xi, Shang Ke, Qi Li, Jiang Li, 日, 月, 山, 木, 火, 人, 水, 口).  2) Teach new terms (Xia Ke, Zuo Xia, Qing Zuo).
  2. Complete writing Chinese characters.  Collect.
  3. Showcase art projects (art work).

4.   Skit practice.


Procedure for MS 5P (5/10/11)


Objectives: 1) Students will be able to review for audacity and chapter test.  2) Students will be able to express their food preferences.

Homework: 1) Study for chapter test.  2) Lesson Eleven worksheet definitions.  3) Skit due tomorrow.


  1. 1) Take one copy of Lesson Eleven characters worksheet.  2) Turn in your Lesson Ten characters worksheet tomorrow.  3) Skit script/checklist due tomorrow.
  2. 1) Round robin reading text passages on pages 85-87.  2) Culture reading: page 92.
  3. Skit practice.
