Procedure for HS 1P (5/11/11)

 

Objectives: Students will be able to showcase their mastery of Lesson Ten materials. 

Homework: 1) Lesson Eleven characters definitions.  2) Practice your skit. 

Procedure:

  1. 1) Turn in your Lesson Ten characters worksheet.  2) Take one copy of Lesson Eleven characters worksheet.  3) Makeup work (Darin, Jack, Stefan, Claire, Shaina: Voki; audacity, PPT, skit).
  2. Questions?
  3. Lesson Ten chapter test.

 

Procedure for HS 2P (5/11/11)

 

目標: Students will be able to sharpen their listening skill and speaking fluency.

功課: 1) Practice reading text page 43.  2) WB page 31.

程序:

  1. 1) Quick review (北京, 南京, 京劇/剧, 票價/价, 價錢/价钱, 開/开始, 排隊/队).  2) Conversation session: WB page 33.  3) Round robin reading: text page 43: Friday, 5/13/11.
  2. Read text passage: 43
  3. Listening comprehension: WB page 31.  Complete as homework tonight.

 

Procedure for HS 9P (5/11/11)

 

Objectives: 1) Students will be able to sharpen their listening skill and speaking fluency.

功課: Review learned terms. 

Procedure:

  1. 1) Quick review (剛好, 剛剛, 飯館, 一起, 出去, 回來, 帶, 時間, 回家, 因為, 留下來) with related terms and sentences.  2) Go over Lesson Eight passage on page 93.
  2. Video clip for listening comprehension (U. of N. Carolina Website).
  3. Pair activity: telephone conversation.
  4. Listening comprehension (Confucius Institute Website: Happy Chinese).

 

Procedure for MS 3P (5/11/11)

 

Objectives: 1) Students will be able to learn numbers 1-5 today.  2) Students will be able to brainstorm ideas for their art project. 3) Students will be able to present their skit today.

Homework: 1) Review learned terms.  2) Write Chinese characters for numbers.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Quick review (Ni Hao, Ni Shi, Wo Shi, Zai Jian, Xie Xie, Zhang Lao Shi, Bu Xie, Bu Ke Qi, Wu An, Wan An, Zao, Ni Zao, Zao An, Zao Shang Hao, Dong Le ma, Dong le, Bu Dong, ri, Dui Bu Qi, Mei Guan Xi, Shang Ke, Xia Ke, Qi Li, Jing Li, Zuo Xia, Qing Zuo).  2) Return papers (characters).  3) Makeup work (Nick).
  2. Teach numbers (yi, er, san, si, wu) with Chinese characters.
  3. Skit presentation.
  4. Showcase case art projects (flash cards, crafts, pictures).

 

Procedure for MS 5P (5/11/11)

 

Objectives: Students will be able to showcase their mastery of Lesson Ten materials.

Homework: 1) Practice Lesson Ten text passage for audacity tomorrow.  2) Get 11 sentences ready for your PPT tomorrow.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Turn in your Lesson Ten characters worksheet and skit script with checklist.  2) Give Ms. Chang your flash drive or submit it to Ms. Chang’s folder under O drive.  3) Captains check Lesson Eleven characters worksheet definitions.
