Procedure for HS 1P (5/19/11)

Objectives: 1) Students will be able to express their food preferences and name some Chinese dishes.  2) Students will be able to sharpen their speaking and listening skills.    

Homework: 1) Review your Conversation Questions handout.  2) Food order is due tomorrow. 

Procedure:

  1. 1) Take one copy of Conversation Questions handout.  2) Quick review (口渴, 喝水, 很餓, 很渴, 好餓, 好渴, 想吃, 三明治, 水果, 果汁, 牛奶, 奶水, 喜歡, 歡喜, 中國菜, 炒飯, 炒菜).
  2. 1) Read text passages on pages 93-94.  2) Go over Conversation handout.  3) Pair work: practice conversation questions.  4) Q/A session.

 

Procedure for HS 2P (5/19/11)

目標: 1) Students will be able to learn various terms for Chinese folk arts.  2) Students will be able to sharpen their listening skill.

功課: WB page 36.

程序:

  1. 1) Ms. Chang checks your WB page 41.  2) Lesson Three chapter test Part II: Thursday, 5/26/11.
  2. 1) Quick review (禮堂, 舞龍, 舞獅, 笛子, 獅子, 太極拳, 琵琶).  2) Teach new characters (成, 胡, 古, 箏, 民) with terms (成人, 成功, 開門/开门, 開關/开关, 時間/时间, 地點/地点, 晚會/晚会, 表演, 人民, 國民/国民, 二胡, 胡說/说, 古箏, 民歌

 

Procedure for HS 9P (5/19/11)

Objectives: Students will be able to practice their writing, speaking and listening skills.

功課: 1) Finalize your order of Chinese food.  Due tomorrow.  2) Complete WB page 67. 

Procedure:

  1. 1) Get a copy of Dining out conversation dialogue.  2) Quick review (牛排, 排球, 魚排, 雞排, 豬排, 改天, 便飯, 請坐, 坐下, 點菜, 菜單, 名單, 炒飯, 春捲, 白飯, 甜酸雞, 漢堡, 熱狗, 三明治, 牛奶, 果汁, 水, 可樂, 咖啡, 沙拉, 盤子, 飯碗, 酸辣湯, 獅子, 獅子頭).
  2. Go over Dining Out Conversation Dialogue slip.  2) Pair practice.
  3. Class activity: WB page 67.  1) Compile your questions in Chinese.  2) Interview your classmates in Chinese.

 

Procedure for MS 3P (5/19/11)

Objectives: 1) Students will be able to build sentences to introduce themselves.  2) Students will be able to have fun exploring Chinese guessing finger activity.

Homework: Review all learned terms.  Quiz #2: tomorrow.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Quick review (yi, er, san, si, wu, liu, qi, ba, jiu, shi, ling, bai, ri, yue, shan, shui, mu, ren, huo, kou).  2) Pass out/go over oral presentation handout.
  2. 1) Teach new terms (sui, jia, you, ge ren).  2) Build sentences #1-#3.
  3. Culture reading: Lucky/unlucky numbers + finger guessing game.
