Procedure for HS 1P (5/31/11)

 

Objectives: Students will be able to showcase their oral proficiency.

Homework: Practice presenting your PPT presentation. 

Procedure:

  1. 1) Check out how you wrap a sticky rice dumpling, http://www.euphocafe.com/recipe/cooking_tw/wrapping.gif.  2) Missing PPT printout w/checklist (Abby, Jason, Shaina, Stefan, Darian).  3) Draw a number for your PPT presentation order.
  2. Semester oral exam.

Homeroom (5/31/11)

**  Assembly starts at 8:15-9:55.  Please sit on the assigned area and show the best behavior during the assembly.  Ms. Chang will take attendance there.

**  This is an honors assembly.  Please meet school’s expectations for appropriate behaviors.

 

 

Procedure for HS 2P (5/31/11)

 

目標: 1) Students will be able to gain oral fluency.  2) Students will be able to acquire new characters to finish up Lesson Three.

功課: Practice reading page 44 for tomorrow.

程序:

  1. 1) Check out how you wrap a sticky rice dumpling, http://www.euphocafe.com/recipe/cooking_tw/wrapping.gif.  2) Round robin reading practice: textbook page 44 tomorrow.  3) Lesson Three characters worksheet due tomorrow (Ben).
  2. 1) Teach new characters (賓, 掌) with terms (來賓, 賓客, 客人, 請客, 掌聲, 手掌, 腳掌, 鼓掌).  2) Read textbook page 44.

 

Procedure for HS 9P (5/31/11)

 

Objectives: 1) Students will be able to prepare for their semester exam on next Tuesday. 2) Students will be able to acquire terms for Chinese food.  3) Students will be able to showcase their oral fluency.

功課: Study!

Procedure:

  1. 1) Take one copy of Second Semester Exam Study Guide.  2) Return papers (quiz, H/W, etc).  3) Makeup work (WB page 71??).  Makeup quiz (Jay, Michaela, Adam Y.). 4) Turn in WB page 72 by the end of tomorrow.  5) Check out a website to learn to wrap sticky rice dumpling, http://www.euphocafe.com/recipe/cooking_tw/wrapping.gif.
  2. Go over Study Guide.
  3. Teach new characters (麻, 婆, 豆, 腐, 辣) with terms (麻子,老婆, 老婆婆, 大豆, 黃豆, 紅豆, 綠豆,豆腐).
  4. Oral exam ó 1) Read text passages on pages 97-98.  2) Culture reading: text pages 103-104.

 

Procedure for MS 3P (5/31/11)

 

Objectives: 1) Students will be able to gain cultural knowledge about the Great Wall of China.  2) Students will be able to explore tangram activity.

Homework: Review learned terms and practice oral presentation.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Pair activity: read your draft #1-#8 to a partner.  2) flash cards: quiz your partner on 4 colors (black, white, red, yellow).
  2. DVD: Seven Wonders of China: the Great Wall of China.
  3. Class work: Tangram pieces: assemble 3 pieces into 8 different diagrams.

 

 

Procedure for MS 5P (5/31/11)

 

Objectives: Students will be able to practice writing problems.

Homework: Study for final tomorrow (MC) and Thursday (listening + writing).

Procedure:

  1. 1) Did you receive the revised study guide?  2) Check out the following link to learn to wrap a sticky rice dumpling, http://www.euphocafe.com/recipe/cooking_tw/wrapping.gif.  3) Missing work (Anthony, Vicky, Ted, Jordan, Julia, Jacklyn).
  2. Listening activity: WB page 70 / Section B.  Go over the answer.
  3. Practice writing problems.
