Procedures for 8/26/11

Procedure HS Chinese III/IV (8/26/11)

目标 (MùBiāo): 1) 我会问问题—I can apply question words in daily conversation.  2) 我认识我的同学–I can know my classmates through an interview and a presentation. 

功课: Supplies, signature slip, dialogue writing due next Monday, 8/29/11.

程序 (ChéngXù):

  1. 1) Turn in your forms if you have not done so.  2) Take one copy of Dialogue rubric. Quick going over.  3) Ask questions and stay after school for tutoring.
  2. Pair activity: continue to create a dialogue using 8 question words.
  3. Interview a new friend (not your buddy) in Chinese.  Write down 5 things (pinyin OK) about him/her (besides name and grade).  Present next Monday.  Collect and count for today’s participation grade.  Use 5 different verbs, please.

 

 

 

Procedure for MS Exploratory Chinese 3P/5P (8/26/11)

Objectives: 1) I can say simple greeting terms.  2) I can know my classmates through an interview and a presentation.

Homework:  Signature slip due on Monday,8/29/11.

Procedure:

  1. Quick check (hanyu pinyin, official language, priority of vowels, basic greetings, tone marks).
  2. Teach greeting terms (Ni Hao, Ni Shi, Wo Shi, Zai Jian, Lao Shi).
  3. Pair/Group activity (5 minutes):  Interview a new friend and write down three things about him/her (besides name and grade) in complete sentences using three different verbs.

 

Procedure for MS Chinese I 2P/7P (8/26/11)

Objectives: 1) I can say simple greeting terms.  2) I can know my classmates through an interview and a presentation.

Homework: 1) Signature slip + Parent Note (+ your writing) + School Supplies due on Monday,8/29/11.  2) Review learned greeting terms.

Procedure:

  1. (2P) Ms. Chang collects your Student Inventory.  Go over parent letter.  Letter.  Due on next Monday, 8/29.  Add your answers to these two questions (why did you sign up the Chinese class?  What are your goals set for this class?)

(7P) Check the accuracy of your e-mail address.

  1. 1) Quick check (hanyu pinyin, official language, priority of vowels, basic greetings, tone marks).  2) Pass out Ni Hao 1 workbook.  Write down your name right away.  3) 4P, E/I, & 6P are the time you can come for tutoring!
