Procedures for 9/13/11

Procedure for HS Chinese III (9/13/11)

目标 (MùBiāo): 1) 我知道中秋節 (zhong1 qiu1 jie2: Mid-Autumn Festival) 的故事 (gu4 shi4: story).  2) 我會/会中文會話/会话。

功课: 1) Make 5 sentences (但是, 又..又, 2 * 幾/几, 和).  Due tomorrow.  2) 寫生字. 

程序 (ChéngXù):

1.   1) Round robin reading: page 106 top.  2) 6-term dialogue performance.

2.   1) Explain “Usage of 和”.  2) Teach new characters with terms (暖, 悶, 寒, 暖和, 悶熱, 寒冷).

3.   Mid-autumn festival animation http://video.chinese.cn/article/2010-9/15/content_173849.htm.  Enjoy the moon cake.

 

 

Procedure for MS Chinese I 2P/7P (9/13/11)

Objectives: 1) I can say numbers in Chinese.  2) I can acquire cultural knowledge about Chinese Mid-Autumn Festival.

Homework: 1) Review Chinese counting principle.  2) WB pages 18-19 (Section I only).

Procedure:

  1. 1) Take one copy of number table.  2) Captains check WB pages 15-16.  Go over the answer key.  3) Collect 12 Chinese characters writing assignment.  4) Sharing (7P: Noah).  5) Check 2 paper-cut patterns.  Showcase paper cut patterns.

  3. Teach Chinese counting principle.  Count from zero to 100.

 

 Procedure for MS Exploratory Chinese 3P/5P (9/13/11)

Objectives: 1) I can say numbers in Chinese.  2) I can acquire cultural knowledge about Chinese Mid-Autumn Festival.  3) I can hold and use chopsticks to pick up food.

Homework: Review Chinese counting principle.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Makeup quiz (3P: Katrina; 5P: Jennifer, Philip, Bryce).  2) Collect 12 Chinese characters writing assignment.  3) Check 2 paper-cut patterns.
  2. 1) Mid-Autumn festival animation http://video.chinese.cn/article/2010-09/15/content_173849.htm.  2) Pass out number table.  Teach Chinese counting principle.  Count from zero to 100.
  3. Chopsticks practice with Froot Loop.
