Procedure for HS Chinese III (9/15/11)

目标 (MùBiāo): 1) 我會形容先天氣.  2) 我會中文會話

功课: 1) Pen Pal letter due tomorrow.  2) Draft of the 3rd skit due next Monday.   3) Audio file # 340 (= 316 + 320 + 326 + 330 + 336).

程序 (ChéngXù):

  1. 1) Review terms + new characters (那么,这么,怎么, 流, 朗, 覺/觉, 寒流, 流水, 流鼻水, 晴朗, 覺/觉得).   2) Pair activity: Speaking practice (今天是…, 昨天是…, 明天是…, 前天是…, 後天是…, 大前天是…, 大後天是….., 上午, 中午, 下午, 早上, 晚上).  Practice reading from a calendar.  3) Read Text passage on page 106.
  2. Pair seat work time: 3rd skit

 

 

Procedure for Chinese I 2P/7P (9/15/11)

Objectives: 1) I can acquire cultural knowledge about Mid-Autumn Festival.  2) I can discriminate different consonants.

Homework: 1) Review numbers and 8 picture Chinese characters for quiz #2.  2) Review b, p, m, f handout for dictation.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Take one copy of b, p, m, f handout.  2) Captains check WB page 17.  3) Dictation (numbers + tones).  4) Quick review (火, 水, 月, 山, 人, 木, 日, 口).
  2. 1) Teach b, p, m, f handout.  2) Introduce two websites for the Mid-Autumn Festival: http://www.mightybookcn.net/MBCN_blog/?p=33 (watch it at home) + http://english.cntv.cn/special/2011midautumngala/homepage/index.shtml.
  3. Game time (number cards).

 

  Procedure for MS Exploratory Chinese 3P/5P (9/15/11)

Objectives: 1) I can talk about myself and my family in Chinese.  2) I can complete a dot-to-dot activity in Chinese.

Homework: 1) Review learned terms (numbers + 8 picture Chinese characters) for quiz #2 tomorrow.  2) Review family terms.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Quick review (numbers + 8 characters + family members).  2) Count from zero to one hundred.  3) Teach new terms (jiejie, meimei).
  2. Dot-to-dot activity sheet.
