Procedures for 9/21/11

Procedure for HS Chinese IV (9/21/11)

目标 (MùBiāo): 1) 我會/会中文會話/会话。2)我會唸 (read) 課文.  

功课: 1) Study for your vocabulary (Lesson Five). 2. Audio file #786 (772 +776 + 778 + 781 + 783).  3) Be able to say temperature for Friday’s participation.

程序 (ChéngXù):

  1. 1) Read text passages on page 64-65.  2) Check WB page 50.
  2. 2.      1) Take one copy of 2011-2012 Chinese IV Conversation Questions.  2) Practice Chinese conversation.

Procedure for HS Chinese III (9/21/11)

目标 (MùBiāo): 1) I can identify Chinese characters.  2) 我會/会中文會話/会话。

功课: 1) Study for your vocabulary (Lesson Nine) + Ni Hao 2 characters quiz.  2) Audio file #786 (772 +776 + 778 + 781 + 783).  3) Be able to say temperature for Friday’s participation.

程序 (ChéngXù):

  1. 1) Turn in your pen-pal letters.  2) Return your skit draft.  Final draft due on Friday, 9/23/11 and Perform on Monday, 9/26/11.  3) Take one copy of conversation question list.  4) Identify terms.
  2. Teach new characters and terms (溫, 度, 華, 氏, 預, 華氏, 溫度, 氣溫, 天氣預報).
  3. 1) Class participation (Q/A): activity: conversation time.  2) Revise your draft.  Q/A session.

 

 

 

Procedure for MS Chinese I 2P/7P (9/21/11)

Objectives: 1) I can read math equations in Chinese.  2) I can tell consonants b, p, m, and f apart.  Homework: 1) Write new Chinese characters.  Know meanings/pronunciation.  2) Read text passages on pages 18-19.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Take one copy of Lesson Three text passages.  2) Missing work (2P: Laura, Jonah—tone quiz).  3) Dictation (b, p, m, f).
  2. Teach new characters and terms (加, 減, 乘, 以).

Introduce one website: http://www.yellowbridge.com/chinese/flashcards.php, click Ni Hao Volume 1 in the table, click “3. 1 2 3” and “start” to play flash card or memory game to review vocabulary.

 

 

 

Procedure for MS Exploratory Chinese 3P/5P (9/21/11)

Objectives: 1) I can do origami.  2) I can say my birthday in Chinese.

Homework: 1) Review learned terms.  2) Practice reading your sentences #1-#5.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Missing work (5P: Bryce—quiz #2, dot-to-dot activity sheet).  2) Quick review (baba, mama, gege, didi, jiejie, meimei, sui, jia, you, ge ren, he, liang).  3) Teach new terms (sheng ri, nian, de).
  2. Compare and contrast American and Chinese date formats (year, month, day).
  3. 1) Write sentence #5.  2) Practice reading sentences #1-#5.  Collect tomorrow.
  4. 1) Pass out 2 colored papers/scissors.  2) Do prepare work for origami #1.
