Procedure for HS Chinese IV (9/27/11)

目标 (MùBiāo): 我會用比較式句子.

功课: 1) WB page 51.  2) Write new characters.  Know their meaning / pronunciation.  3) Study for Lesson Five Chapter test Part I: Friday, 9/30/11.

程序 (ChéngXù):

  1. Teach new characters with terms (長, 挺, 塌, 奇, 怪, 好久不見, 像, 矮 ó 高 ..多了, 覺得, 倆).
  2. Read text passages on page 66-67.

Procedure for HS Chinese III (9/27/11)

目标 (MùBiāo): 1) 我會/会形容天氣/气.  2) 我聽/听得懂熟悉的話題/话题.  3) 我看得懂短文.

功课: 1) Write new characters.  Know their meanings/pronunciation.  2) WB page 83. 上/中/下/學/客.

程序 (ChéngXù):

  1. 1) Turn in your WB or WB page 76.  Missing work (Cait / Kathryn / Adam / Caelan: pen pal letters).  2) Teach new characters with terms (高, 低, 雷, 陣, 最高, 最低, 雷陣雨, 打雷, 高個/个子).
  2. Skit performance.  Q/A.
  3. 1) Explain/Model WB page 83.  2) Seat work: complete WB page 83

 

 

 

Procedure for MS Chinese I 2P/7P (9/27/11)

Objectives: 1) I can tell the differences among consonants d, t, n and l.  2) I can orally express, comprehend, and solve math equations.

Homework: 1) Review learned syllables and numbers 0-99.  2) Practice sounding out page 20.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Take one copy of Stroke Order handout.  Turn in your childhood pictures, if any.  2) Dictation (d, t).  3) Go over d, t, n, l handout.
  2. 1) Read Lesson Three text passages on page 20. 2) Pair activity: Practice math flash cards (+, -, x, ÷, and =).

 

 

Procedure for MS Exploratory Chinese 3P/5P (9/27/11)

Objectives: 1) I can say colors in Chinese.  2) I can acquire cultural knowledge about Chinese zodiac animal legend.  3) I can talk about myself and my family in Chinese.

Homework: 1) Review learned colored terms.  2) Practice saying sentences #1-#7.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Quick review (hong se, hei se, bai se, huang se). 2) Teach (lan se, lu se, cheng se, cong se).  3) Teach new terms (dian hua hao ma, di zhi), phone number and address formats.  4) Write sentences #6-#7.  4) Practice reading sentences #1-#7.
  2. 1) Pass out and go over Zodiac Animal handout (Giant Panda legend).  2) Show case art project sample (singing).
