Procedure for HS Chinese III (9/29/11)

目标 (MùBiāo): 1) I can acquire information about Study Abroad program and opportunities.  2) 我會/会中文會話 / 会话

功课: Study for quiz tomorrow.

程序 (ChéngXù):

  1. 1) Turn in your WB page 83 for Ms. Chang.  2) Highlighted vocabulary list will be e-mailed to you tonight.  3) NSLI-Y scholarship: www/NSLIforYouth.org.
  2. Study Abroad program presentation (Logan Galbreath/Julia McPherson).  Q/A session.

Procedure for MS Chinese I 2P/7P (9/29/11)

Objectives: 1) I can tell the differences among d, t, n, l consonants.  2) I can read and solve math equations.  3) I can comprehend simple Chinese characters and principles of writing Chinese characters (stroke order).

Homework: 1) Write Chinese characters.  Know their meaning and pronunciation.  2) Practice reading from flash cards.  3) Quiz #5 (d, t, n, l).

Procedure:

  1. 1) Turn in your childhood pictures, if any.  2) Captains check WB page 20-21.  Go over the answer key.  4) Dictation (d, t, n, l).  5) Listening comprehension (math equations).
  2. 1) Teach simple Chinese characters (天, 土, 大, 小, 中, 石). 2) (2P) Finish oral quiz.
  3. Go over Chinese stroke order handout.

 

 

Procedure for MS Exploratory Chinese 3P/5P (9/29/11)

Objectives: 1) I can name 11 colors in Chinese.  2) I can name popular sports in Chinese.

Homework: 1) Review color terms for quiz tomorrow.  2) Quiz #4 tomorrow.  Art project due next Monday.  Oral presentation next Tuesday.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Quick review (all 11 colors).  2) Practice reading sentences #1-#10.  3) Collect draft #2.
  2. 1) DVD: Zodiac Animals legend; 2) Promote FL learning video clips.
  3. Cultural reading: Chinese zodiac animals and animal signs.
