Procedures for 10/10/11

Procedure for HS Chinese IV (10/10/11)

 目标 (MùBiāo): 1) I can communicate about birthday celebrations.  2) I can compare/contrast special Chinese festival foods.

功课: 1) Write new characters.  Know their meaning and pronunciation.  2) Study sentence patterns on pages 71-73.  3) WB pages 56-57.   4) Read text pages 66-69 by tomorrow.

程序 (ChéngXù):

  1. 1) Lesson Five chapter test Part I: Monday, 10/17/11.  2) Teach new characters with terms (些, 飲, 料, 汽 ó氣, 切, 或, 一些, 飲料, 料子, 或是).  3) Go over text passages on page 69.

Procedure for HS Chinese III (10/10/11)

目标 (MùBiāo): I can talk about the weather, the duration and characteristics of the seasons and to understand a simple weather report.

功课: 1) Final version of your 4th skit due tomorrow.  Skit performance: tomorrow and Thursday.  2) Chapter test: Monday, 10/17/11.  3) Write new characters.  Know their meaning and pronunciation.

程序 (ChéngXù):

  1. 1) Turned in your WB pages 78/82 writing assignment.  2) Turn in your 4th skit final version, if any.  3) Missing assignments/makeup work???
  2. 1) Teach new characters (死, 汗, 浹, 背, 暢, 身, 心).  2) WB page 89 #6-#8.  2) WB page 88 #6-#8.

Procedure for MS Chinese I 2P/7P (10/10/11)

Objectives: 1) I can master numbers and math equations in Chinese.  2) I can name myself and others in Chinese.  3) I can cultural knowledge about Chinese lucky and unlucky numbers.

Homework: 1) Write new characters.  Know their pronunciation and meaning.  2) Study for g, k, h, j, q, and x consonants.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Turn in your Lesson Three characters worksheet.  2) Lesson Three chapter test.
  2. 1) Dictation (g, k, h, j, q, x).  2) Quick review (大, 小, 中, 土, 石, 天).

Procedure for MS Exploratory Chinese 3P/5P (10/10/11)

Objectives: 1) I can say simple greeting terms.  2) I can acquire geographic knowledge about China.

Homework: 1) Complete reading packet.  Due at the end of the class tomorrow.  2) Review learned greeting terms.

Procedure: (ChéngXù):

  1. 1) Turned in your signature slip.  2) Quick review / Teach (Ni Hao, Ni Shi, Wo Shi, Zao, Zao An Ni Zao, Zao Shang Hao).
  2. 1) Pass out / Go over China reading packet.  2) Cultural reading: The country: China.
  3. DVD: General introduction to China.
  4. Individual/Pair work: China reading packet.
