Procedure for HS Chinese IV (10/17/11)—before/after school

目标 (MùBiāo): I can talk about illness, read medical instructions and write notes of absence

功课: Write new characters.  Know their meaning and pronunciation

程序 (ChéngXù):

  1. Teach new characters with terms (病, 搞, 痛, 吐, 燒/烧, 生病, <body part >痛, 發燒/发烧,, 舒服, 怎麼/么搞的, 覺/觉得, 糟糕, 快, 該/该, 起床, 上學/学, 上廁/厕所, 想 < verb >, 還/还有, 得, 我看, 不要, 等一下).
  2. Read text passage on page 79.

 

Procedure for HS Chinese IV (10/17/11)

目标 (MùBiāo): 1) I can communicate about birthday celebrations.  2) I can explain special Chinese festival foods.  3) I can compare/contrast physical features.

功课: Lesson Six character definitions.

程序 (ChéngXù):

  1. 1) Please return the senior shadowing or college visit verifications to the attendance office today.  2) Work in Red Lab on Thursday, 10/20/11.  3) Check ProgressBook for accuracy.  4) Turn in your Lesson Five Characters worksheet.  5) Take one copy of Lesson Six characters worksheet.

Procedure for HS Chinese III (10/17/11)

目标 (MùBiāo): I can communicate about the weather, the duration and characteristics of the seasons and to understand a simple weather report.

功课: Ni Hao 3 Lesson One character definitions.

程序 (ChéngXù):

  1. 1) Turn in your Lesson Nine characters worksheet.  2) Work in Red Lab on Thursday, 10/20/11.  3) Take one copy of Ni Hao 3 Lesson characters worksheet.  4) Check ProgressBook for accuracy.
  2. Lesson Nine chapter test.

 

 

Procedure for MS Chinese I 2P/7P (10/17/11)

Objectives: 1) I can explore website multimedia resources for my Chinese learning.  2) I can learn to write my Chinese names.  3) I can how to look up on-line Chinese dictionary.

Homework: Write your Chinese name.  Two rows for each character.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Take one copy of square paper and one headset.  2) Log onto your e-mail account and open the attachment for your Chinese name.  Read and follow the instructions on the top very carefully.  Finalize your Chinese name with Ms. Chang, please.  3) You can go to MS portal page, click Ms. Chang’s blog and click the links in the following items 2, 3, and 4.
  2. Go to http://kid.chinese.cn/article/2009-09/25/content_68502.htm.  1) Click 01.  Watch animation and situation video under Lesson 1.  Try other menu selections, please.
  3. Go to http://english.cntv.cn/program/learnchinese/20100803/100891.shtml.  Watch the video.
  4. Go to http://www.learnnc.org/lp/editions/mandarin1/4567 to watch video and learn simple vowels.  If you like, go to http://www.learnnc.org/lp/editions/mandarin1/4526 and listen to all combinations of initials.
  5. Go to P drive, click Ms. Chang’s folder, click Ni Hao 1 interactive game, enter your name and Chinese I and you will be able to review characters and sentence patterns.

 

Procedure for MS Exploratory Chinese 3P/5P (10/17/11)

Objectives: 1) I can say simple Chinese greeting terms.  2) I can write simple Chinese characters.  3) I can acquire cultural knowledge about Chinese zodiac system.

Homework: 1) Review learned greeting terms.  2) Complete writing assignment.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Quick review and teach new terms (Ni Hao, Ni Shi, Wo Shi, Zai Jian, Zao, Zao An, Ni Zao, Zao Shang Hao, Wu An, Wan An, Xie Xie, Bu Xie, Bu Ke Qi, Lao Shi, Zhang Lao Shi, Dui Bu Qi, Mei Guan Xi, 日, 月, 木, 山, Qi Li, Jing Li, Zuo Xia, Qing Zuo).  2) Teach new Chinese characters (人, 口, 火, 水).  Collect tomorrow.
  2. Culture reading: Chinese: The Twelve animals of the Chinese zodiac.
