Procedure for HS Chinese III/IV (10/20/11)

目标 (MùBiāo): 1) Chinese III: I can create a movie, a poster, a skit, a PowerPoint or a brochure to introduce a city and its weather.  2) Chinese IV: I can create a Glogster poster as a follow-up of my party.

功课:  Finalize your project.  Due next Monday.  Presentation starts on Monday.

程序 (ChéngXù):

1.         Use various applications to compose your project (PPT, movie maker, Glogster, Publisher.

 

 

Procedure for MS Chinese I 2P/7P (10/20/11)

Objectives: 1) I can tell the difference among sh, zh, ch, r, s, c, and z.  2) I can say and write simple Chinese greeting terms.

Homework: 1) Review for quiz tomorrow.  2) Write new characters.  Know their meaning and pronunciation.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Take one copy of Lesson Two text passages.  2) Turn in any makeup work.  3) Dictation (s).  4) Teach new characters with terms (偉/伟, 李, 蘭/兰, 再, 見, 大偉/伟, 再見, 李子).
  2. Video clips: Chinese rapping music.

Procedure for MS Exploratory Chinese 3P/5P (10/20/11)

Objectives: 1) I can say simple Chinese greeting terms.  2) I can acquire cultural knowledge about Chinese pronunciation.  3) I can brainstorm ideas for my art project.  4) I can say and recognize simple Chinese numbers and number characters.

Homework: 1) Review learned terms for quiz tomorrow.  2) Review number terms.  3) Complete writing.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Quick review (Ni Hao, Ni Shi, Wo Shi, Zai Jian, Zao, Zao An, Ni Zao, Zao Shang Hao, Wu An, Wan An, Xie Xie, Bu Xie, Bu Ke Qi, Lao Shi, Zhang Lao Shi, Dui Bu Qi, Mei Guan Xi, Qi Li, Jing Li, Zuo Xia, Qing Zuo, Shang Ke, Xia Ke, Tong Xue Men Hao, Dong Le Ma, Dong Le, Bu Dong).  2) (3P) Cultural reading: Chinese pronunciation.  3) (5P) Video clips: Chinese rapping songs.
  2. Teach number unit (yi, er, san, si, wu) with Chinese characters.
  3. Explain requirements for the art project and possible media (craft, baking, drawing, technology, inging, etc).
