Procedure for HS Chinese III (10/21/11)

目标 (MùBiāo): 1) I can name various school subjects.  2) I can talk about subject preference, preparation for exams and exam result.

功课:  1) Write new characters. Know their meaning and pronunciation.  2) Finalize your weather project.  Due next Monday, 10/24/11.  Random drawing for presentation.

程序 (ChéngXù):

  1. 1) Quick review (数学/數學, 科学/學, 化学/學, 英文, 美术/術, 生物, 音乐/樂, 中文).  2) Teach new characters with terms (節/节,汉/漢, 语/語, 理, 体/體, 育, 地理, 物理, 英文 = 英语/語, 中文 = 汉语/漢語).
  2. Go over text page 1.
  3. 1) Seat work: Pass out class schedule / Fill in your class schedule.  Collect as participation grade today.  2) Conversation time (1.  你今天有什麼/么課/课?  2.  你第#節/节是什麼/么課/课?  3.  你上一節/节是什麼/么課/课?  4.  你喜歡/欢什麼/么課/课?  5. 你不喜歡/欢什麼/么課/课?).

 

 Procedure for MS Chinese I 2P/7P (10/21/11)

Objectives: 1) I can master the sounds of consonants: sh, zh, ch, r, s, c, and z.  2) I can say and write simple Chinese greeting terms.  3) I can sight read Hanyu Pinyin.

Homework: 1) Review for quiz tomorrow.  2) Work on your greeting terms/classroom expression mini project.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Take three pieces of colored papers.  2) Quiz #7.
  2. 1) Go over sentences in Review Sounds 1 packet.  2) Pair activity: Practice reading sentences in Review Sounds1 packet.

 

Procedure for MS Exploratory Chinese 3P/5P (10/21/11)

Objectives: 1) I can use chopsticks to hold cereal.  2) I can master all basic Chinese greeting terms.  3) I can say simple Chinese numbers and I can recognize Chinese number characters.

Homework: Review number terms and characters.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Quick review.  2)  Quiz #1.
  2. Review and learn numbers (yi, er, san, si, wu, liu, qi, ba, jiu, shi) and characters.
  3. Class activity: chopstick practice.
