Procedure for HS Chinese IV (10/27/11)—after school
目标 (MùBiāo): I can talk about illness, read medical instruction and write notes of absence.
功课: 1) Study reading passages for reading comprehension test next Wednesday. 2) Read text passages on pages 79-80 to Ms. Chang before the end of Tuesday.
程序 (ChéngXù):
- Teach new characters with terms (噴, 嚏, 咳, 嗽, 噴水, 噴香水, 噴水池, 打噴嚏, 咳嗽).
- Go over text passages on pages 79-80.

Homework: 1) Practice reading sentences in page 3. 2) Study for Chapter Two test.
Procedure:
- 1) Makeup work (2P: Joy, Jennifer, T.J., Jonah, Alex R.—sight reading / T.J., Alex. Jonah, Lant: mini art project; 7P: Syam: Chinese name writing assignment). 2) Get one copy of Lesson Two Study Guide. 3) Captains check WB pages 10-13. 4) Change seats: Draw a number and move. 5) Go over Chinese Club Officers Duties. 6) Lesson Two chapter test postpones to Wednesday instead of Tuesday.
- 1) Listening activity: WB page 9. Go over answer key. 2) (7P) Go over Study Guide.
- 1) Read text passages on text pages 8-10. 2) Go over text passages meaning.
Procedure for MS Exploratory Chinese 3P/5P (10/27/11)
Objectives: 1) I can acquire cultural knowledge about Chinese cuisine and food. 2) I can make origami.
Homework: Study for your quiz #2 (Monday, 10/31).
Procedure:
- 1) Return papers. Makeup work (3P: Katherine F., Matt Kluth). 2) Quick review (yi, er, san, si, wu, liu, qi, ba, jiu, shi, ling, bai, 一, 二, 三, 四, 五, 六, 七, , 八, 九, 十, 零, 百, 日, 月, 山, 木, 口, 人, 火, 水).
- Culture reading: Chinese food.
