Procedures for 11/7/11

Procedure for HS Chinese IV (11/7/11)—before/after school

目标 (MùBiāo): I can describe illness, follow medical instructions and write notes of absence.

功课: 1) Write new characters.  Know their meaning and pronunciation.  2) Read text passages on pages 79-80 to Ms. Chang

程序 (ChéngXù):

1.   1) Go over 5th skit draft.  2) Read text passages on pages 79-80?

2.   1) Teach new characters with terms (感, 冒, 感觉/覺, 喉, 咙/嚨, 假, 假条/條).  2) Go over page 81.

 

Procedure for HS Chinese III (11/7/11)

目标 (MùBiāo): 1) I can talk about exam preparation and exam result.  2) I can read text passages fluently.  3) I can prepare for my skit performance tomorrow.

功课: 1) Memorize your skit.  Perform tomorrow.  2) Write new characters.  Know their meaning and pronunciation.  3) Read text passages on pages 3-5 on Friday, 11/11.

程序 (ChéngXù):

  1. 1) Take one copy of skit checklist.  2) Permission slip?  3) Makeup work (Melissa, Jay).  4) Turn in your WB.  5) Lesson One chapter test: Monday, 11/14/11.  Pair oral quiz: Tuesday, 11/15/11.  6) Return self-assessment reflection.
  2. 1) Teach new characters with terms (得, 准/準, 备/備).  2) Go over sentence patterns on text page 8.  3) Go over sentences with 8 key question words (什么, 谁, 谁的, 什么时候, 哪里, 哪, 怎么, 为什么, 因为…..所以).
  3. 1) Class activity: Rehearse your skit.  2) Conversation practice: preferred subjects / reason?  3) Make 9 sentences.  Collect for grade.

 

 

 

Procedure for MS Chinese I 2P/7P (11/7/11)

Objectives: 1) I can tell difference among compound vowels.  2) I can identify people, and state my and other people’s age.  3) I can sight read pinyin sentences fluently.

Homework: 1) Write new characters.  Know their meaning and pronunciation.  2) Review learned syllables and pinyin sentences.  3) Oral quiz: Review Sounds 1 packet pages 3-4: tomorrow.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Field trip permission slip?  Chinese Club due?  Work in Media Center next Monday, 11/14/11.  Lesson Four chapter test: Tuesday, 11/15/11.  2) Dictation (ia, ie).
  2. 1) Teach compound vowels (ua, uo).  2) Teach new characters with terms (岁/歲, 今, 年, 几/幾, 谢/謝).  3) Class activity: I am … and Who are you?  / I am # years old.  How old are you?  / Review Sounds 1 packet pages 3-4.

 

 

Procedure for MS Exploratory Chinese 3P/5P (11/7/11)

Objectives: 1) I can say / express my phone number and address in Chinese.  2) I can name my favorite animals and sports in Chinese.

Homework: Practice reading your sentences.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Quick review.  2) Return draft #1 (3P).  Makeup work (3P: Alexia, Steven Z.).  3)
  2. Quiz #3.
  3. 1) Teach terms (di zhi, dian hua hao ma).  2) Go over address and phone formats.  3) Build sentences #6-#7.  4) Read sentences #1-#7
  4. Pass out animals and sports handouts—continue tomorrow.
