Procedure for HS Chinese IV (11/21/11)

目标 (MùBiāo): 1) I can sight read text passages (pages 79-81) fluently.  2) I can initiate and sustain a 3-minute conversation.  3) I can create a skit to give directions.  4) I can use negotiation strategies to interpret unfamiliar text passages.

功课: Complete the following assignments/tasks by the end of tomorrow.

程序 (ChéngXù):

  1. 1) Check WB pages 61-62, 70 (#1-#5, #7) and 71 (#1-#4, #6, #8).  2) Final review of your skit (directions).  3) Read text passages on pages 79-81.
  2. 1) Take reading comprehension quiz.  2) Take Lesson Six Chapter test part I.  3) Oral quiz: sustain a 3-minute conversation.

Procedure for HS Chinese III (11/21/11)

目标 (MùBiāo): 1) I can introduce my school and school life.  2) I can use negotiation strategies to interpret/figure out text passages with unfamiliar characters/terms.

功课: 1) Review/Memorize two poems.  Recite two poems to Ms. Chang tomorrow.  2) Write new characters.

程序 (ChéngXù):

  1. 1) 明天在紅電腦房上課.  2) Final group Reading Comprehension presentation.
  2. Reading comprehension quiz.
  3. Teach new characters with terms (习/習, 久, 利, 虎, 学习/學習, 自习/習, 多久, 很久, 不久, 流利, 老虎, 马马虎虎/馬馬虎虎).



Procedure for MS Chinese I 2P/7P (11/21/11)

Objectives: 1) I can sight read pinyin sentences fluently.  2) I can identify my classmates from their childhood picture.

Homework: 1) Write new characters.  2) Practice your skit dialogue.


  1. 1) Take one copy of answer sheet.  2) “Guess Who He/She Is”: Bring your copy of class roster with you and take turns checking out pictures to identify your classmates.  3) Practice your dialogue.  4) Highlight Compound vowels (2) last 2 sections (y, w).  Collect your answer sheet.  ó Oral quiz (Review Sounds 1 packet page 5).


Procedure for MS Exploratory Chinese 3P/5P (11/21/11)

Objectives: 1) I can understand Ms. Chang’s classroom rules.  2) I can complete the Student Inventory worksheet.

Homework: Student Inventory.  Due tomorrow.


1.   Sit on assigned seat.

2.   Get students’ team assignment information.

3.   Pass out and go over Ms. Chang’s Grading Policy.

4.   Pass out, go over and fill in the Student Inventory.  Collect, if done.
