Procedures for 12/6/11

Procedure for HS Chinese III/IV (12/6/11)

目标 (MùBiāo): 1) I can utilize interactive computer game to review for chapter test.  2) I can gain Chinese cultural knowledge by watching videos in Chinese/English.

功课: Study for your chapter test.

程序 (ChéngXù):

1.      1) Turn in your WB.  2) Turn in your pen pal letter from China tomorrow.  3) Sophomores, please stop by guidance office to pick up your SOPHOMORE PLAN RESULTS.  4) Go to P drive, click Ni Hao 3 under Ms. Chang’s folder and play Lesson Two (Chinese III) or Lesson Six (Chinese IV) interactive game to review for your chapter test.

2.      GGo to http://www.yes-chinese.com/feature/everydaychina/.  Click any topic (24 in total) you are interested in, watch the video and listen to the introduction.  You are encouraged to try Chinese version.  Scripts are printed on screen for your reference.

3.    Go to www.youtube.com and watch the following video clips: 1) 中國話, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CiEgl1GWLjY&feature=related, 2) Photostory 3 tutorial for windows, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s0oH9qE9qEY, 3) Silent Night, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=upcUrDwx9mo, 4) Santa Claus, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=av5EAWVOVZo, if you are interested in performing for other classes.

 

Procedure for MS Chinese I 2P/7P (12/6/11)

Objectives: 1) I can tell differences among various back nasal sounds.  2) I can sight read pinyin sentences fluently.  3) I can hold simple Chinese conversation.

Homework: 1) Review learned syllables and pinyin sentences.  2) Practice reading text passages on pages 32-35. 3) WB page 30.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Makeup work (Jamie, Jennifer/Noah)?  2) Listening activity: WB page 27 (Section A).  Go over answer key.  3) Read text passages on pages 32-35.
  2. 1) Go over back nasal sound handout.  2) Go over Review Sounds 2 packet pages 3-4.  3) Go over conversation questions handout.
  3. Pair practice: conversation questions.

 

 

 

Procedure for MS Exploratory Chinese 3P/5P (12/6/11)

Objectives: 1) I can say simple Chinese greeting terms.  2) I can say simple Chinese numbers.  3) I can write simple Chinese number characters.  4) I can acquire cultural knowledge about Chinese zodiac animals, calligraphy and paper cut.

Homework: Review learned syllables and characters.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Collect writing assignment (3P: Monica; 5P: Victoria, Gage).  2) Quiz #2: Friday, 12/16/11.  3) Quick review.  3) Teach new terms and Chinese characters (Dui Bu Qi, Mei Guan Xi, yi, er, san si).
  2. Culture reading: Chinese zodiac animals.
  3. DVD: Chinese Civilization and Art: Calligraphy + Paper Cut.
