Procedures for 12/9/11

Procedure for HS Chinese III (12/9/11)

目标 (MùBiāo): 1) I can make simple origami products for Amazing Race project.  2) I can talk about modes of transport, distances, travel times, as well as give directions.

功课: Write new characters

程序 (ChéngXù):

  1. 1) Take one copy of possible conversation topics handout.  2) Captains check Lesson Three character definitions.  3) Teach new characters with terms (走, 路, 自, 钟/鐘, 区/區, 走路, 马/馬路, 自行车/車, 分钟/鐘, 十字路口, 學区/區).  4) Go over text passages on page 28.
  2. Make origami (gift box).

 

 

Procedure for MS Chinese I 2P/7P (12/9/11)

Objectives: 1) I can write complete sentences.  2) I can sight read pinyin sentences fluently.  3) I can tell differences among various back nasal sounds.

Homework: 1) Study for your chapter test: Monday, 12/12/11.  2) (2P) Audacity recording: Tuesday, 12/13/11.  Back nasal sounds quiz + culture reading: Wednesday, 12/14/11.  (7P) Back nasal sounds quiz + culture reading: Tuesday, 12/13/11.  Audacity recording: Wednesday, 12/14/11.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Take one copy of Lesson Five Study Guide and one copy of answer key to WB pages.  Go over study guide.  Chinese painting: Thursday, 12/15/11.  2) Captains check WB page 31.  Go over the answer key.  3) Explain WB page 30.  4) Review Sounds 2 packet pages 3-4 ora quiz.     ]

Procedure for MS Exploratory Chinese 3P/5P (12/9/11)

Objectives: 1) I can master Chinese greeting terms.  2) I can say/write simple Chinese numbers.  3) I can explore Chinese folk art of cutting papers.  4) I can acquire cultural knowledge about Chinese food.

Homework: Review learned terms/Chinese characters.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Quick review (numbers).  2) Quit #1.  3) Cutting paper patterns.  Collect for grades.  4) (2P) Return writing assignment papers.  5) Makeup work (2P: Journey, Eddie; 7P: page 1 for your numbers).
  2. Culture reading: Chinese food.
