Procedures for 12/15/11

Procedure for HS Chinese III (12/15/11)

目标 (MùBiāo): 1) I can talk about modes of transportation, distance, traveling time and giving directions.  2) I can acquire cultural knowledge about Chinese martial arts.

功课: 1) Practice reading text passages on pages 28-29.  Round robin reading and simple Q/A tomorrow.  2)  WB pages 30-31.  3) Tissue Box Project due tomorrow.

程序 (ChéngXù):

  1. 1) Practice reading text passages on pages 28-29.  2) Makeup work (Adam, Aashna, Heidi: WB pages 25-27).  3) Go over common WB pages 26-27 mistakes.
  2. Go over text passages on pages 30-31.
  3. Seat work: guided practice: WB page 28.
  4. DVD: Martial arts.

 

 

Procedure for MS Chinese I 2P/7P (12/15/11)

Objectives: I can explore traditional Chinese painting and create a Chinese painting with brush pens.

Homework: Practice Review Sounds2 packet pages 5-6 for quiz tomorrow.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Makeup work (2P: Jonah—worksheet/skit, Jamie—worksheet definitions, Alex—Review Sounds2 packet pages 3-4 reading, Ben: audacity, Brynne: back nasal sound quiz + worksheet definitions + audacity; 7P: Kelley—definitions, Jennifer—audacity, Alissa—audacity ).  2) Get supplies (paper, brush pen, water can, colors, plate) for Chinese painting class.
  2. Chinese painting.

 

 

 

Procedure for MS Exploratory Chinese 3P/5P (12/15/11)

Objectives: 1) I can recognize Chinese terms from zero to 100.  2) I can compose sentences to introduce my family and myself.  3) I can acquire cultural knowledge about Chinese Tea culture or Chinese martial arts of boxing.

Homework: Review for unit #2 quiz tomorrow.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Quick review.  2) Connecting the Dots quiz.  3) (5P) Pass out/go over oral presentation handout.
  2. Culture reading: Chinese tea.
  3. DVD: (2P) Chinese martial arts.  (5P) Tea culture.
