Procedure for HS Chinese IV (12/14/11)—before and after school

目标 (MùBiāo): I can talk about travel plans, discuss travel preparations and read travel itineraries.

功课: 1) Write new characters.  2) WB pages 75-76.  3) Practice reading text passages on pages 94-95.

程序 (ChéngXù):

1.   1) Take one copy of Lesson Seven text passages slip.  2) Listening activity: WB page 74 Section A.  3) Go over text pages 100-101.

Procedure for HS Chinese III (12/14/11)

目标 (MùBiāo): 1) I can talk about modes of transportation, traveling distance, time and giving direction.  2) I can acquire cultural knowledge about Chinese yo-yo.

功课: 1) Write new characters.  2) Practice reading text pages 28-29.

程序 (ChéngXù):

  1. 1) Take one copy of Lesson Three text passages slip.  2) Sharing: WB page 29.  3) Turn in your WB (pages 26-27).  4) Read text passages on pages 28-29.
  2. Teach new characters with terms (南, 远/遠, 近, 离/離, 里, 差不多, 公里, 英里).

Procedure for MS Chinese I 2P (12/14/11)

Objectives: 1) I can tell differences among various back nasal sounds.  2) I can talk about my family.  3) I can ask and answer simple conversation in Chinese.

Homework: 1) Write new characters.  Know their meanings and sounds by Friday.  2) Practice reading Review Sounds2 packet pages 5-6.

Procedure:

  1. Back nasal sounds quiz.
  2. 1) Go over Review Sounds2 packet pages 5-6.  2) Teach new characters with terms (爸, 妈/媽, 弟, 姐).

**  34 minutes/period due to holiday concert today.

 

 

Procedure for MS Chinese I 7P (12/14/11)

Objectives: 1) I can sight read text passages fluently.  2) I can use on-line website tools and interactive computer game to review Chinese.

Homework: 1) Practice reading Review Sounds2 packet pages 5-6.  2) Know all new characters by Friday.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Take one copy of highlighted text passages.  2) Make recording.  Submit your file to MS7P under Ms. Chang’s folder in O drive.  Name your file < last name >.WAV or < last name >.MP3 and return highlighted text passages slip with your name on it.
  2. Go to P drive, click Ni Hao1 interactive game and play Lesson Five game.
  3. Go to http://www.learnnc.org/lp/editions/mandarin1/4168 and watch/listen to the video.
  4. Go to http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b9Ayvjy-Dgs for Pinyin 6 minutes song.
  5. Go to http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GLq6F7BrgZw for Introduction to China.

 

 

 

Procedure for MS Exploratory Chinese 3P/5P (12/14/11)

Objectives: 1) I can count from zero to one hundred in Chinese.  2) I can brainstorm ideas for my art project.

Homework: Review Chinese numbers from 0 to 100 for the Connecting the Dots quiz and number quiz.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Quick review.  2) (3P) Pass out/go over oral presentation handout.
  2. Showcase Chinese art project samples.
  3. Show and tell: ink sticks, paper, and ink stone.
