Procedure for HS Chinese IV (12/5/11)—before/after school

目标 (MùBiāo): 1) I can describe sickness symptoms.  2) I can follow medical instructions.  3) I can write notes of absence.

功课: 准备/準備星期三第六课考试 (Study for your chapter  test).

程序 (ChéngXù):

  1. 1) 明天在红电脑/紅電腦房上课/課.  2) 拿一张/張第六课Study Guide.   3) 交作业/業本 by the end of Wednesday。
  2. Read text passages on pages 82-84 by the end of Wednesday.

 

Procedure for HS Chinese III (12/5/11)

目标 (MùBiāo): I can talk about my school life.

功课: 1) 准备/準備星期四第二课考试。2) WB pages 22/24.  Collect tomorrow.

程序 (ChéngXù):

  1. 1) 明天在红电脑/紅電腦房上课/課.  2) 拿一张/張第二课Study Guide.  3) Ms. Chang checks 作业/業本 (WB pages 20-21)。Go over answer key.  4) Go over study guide.
  2. 1) Compare “以前” and “以后/後”.  2) Go over terms (很有意思 ó 没有意思; 不好意思; A 借 (給) B < something > = < something > 借 (給) B ó A 向B 借 < something >).
  3. Seat work: WB pages 22/24.
  4. Writing practice.

 

 

 

 

Procedure for MS Chinese I 2P/7P (12/5/11)

Objectives: 1) I can tell differences among various front and back nasal sounds.  2) I can sight read pinyin sentences fluently.  3) I can hold simple Chinese conversation.

Homework: 1) Review learned syllables and pinyin sentences.  2) Write new characters.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Take one copy of back nasal sounds.  2) Review Sounds 2 packet pages 3-4 quiz: Friday, 12/9/11.  Lesson Five chapter test: Monday, 12/12/11.  2P works at Media Center (audacity recording) on Tuesday, 12/13/11.  7P works at Media Center on Wednesday, 12/14/11.  3) Captains check WB pages 27-29.  Go over answer key.  4) Front nasal sounds quiz.
  2. 1) Teach new characters (知, 道, 不, 概, 知道, 大概).  2) (2P) Read Lesson Five text passages.  .
  3. (7P) 1) Go over back nasal sound handout.  2) Go over Review Sounds 2 packet page 3.

 

 

Procedure for MS Exploratory Chinese 3P/5P (12/5/11)

Objectives: 1) I can use chopsticks to pick up food.  2) I can say simple Chinese greeting terms.  2) I can write simple Chinese characters.

Homework: 1) Complete Chinese character writing.  Collect tomorrow.  2) Study for your quiz #1 this Friday.

Procedure:

1.   1) Quick review (Ni Hao, Ni Shi, Wo Shi, Zai Jian, Zao, Zao An, Ni Zao, Zao Shang Hao, Xie Xie, Bu Xie, Bu Ke Qi, Wu An, Wan An, Lao Shi, Zhang Lao Shi, Qi Li, Jing Li, Zuo Xia, Qing Zuo, Dong le ma, Dong le, Bu Dong).  2) Teach new terms (Dui Bu Qi, Mei Guan Xi, Shang Ke, Xia Ke).  3) Teach new characters (huo3, ren2, kou3).

2.   Culture reading: Chinese School System.

3.   1) (3P) DVD: Chongqing.  2) Chopsticks practice.
