Procedures for 1/5/12

Procedure for HS Chinese IV (1/5/12)—after school

 目标 (MùBiāo): I can talk about comparisons/resemblances between photos and oneself.   

功课: 1) 寫/写新生字.  2) Practice conversation questions.

程序 (ChéngXù):

  1. 1) Turn in your WB page 86.  2) Teach new characters with terms (胖, 瘦, 像, 正, 好看, 好吃, 好聽/听, 好穿, 每個/个人 = 每人, 每天 = 天天, 每個/个星期, 每個/个月, 每年, 看起來, 吃起來, 聽/听起來, 穿起來, 一點/点都不, < > 看看, 本人, 開/开玩笑).
  2. Go over text passages on page 96.

Procedure for HS Chinese III (1/5/12)

目标 (MùBiāo): 1) I can compare and contrast cultural and societal differences through viewing a Chinese movie.  2) I can give and follow directions.

功课: 1) 写/寫新生字。2) Movie Anticipation Guide due tomorrow.  3) Story map due at the end of movie session.

程序 (ChéngXù):

  1. 1)  Turn in your WB page 33.  2) Take one copy of Movie Story Map and one copy of comprehension questions.  3) Interview sharing.
  2. 1) Teach new characters with terms (往, 拐, 勞, 驾/駕, 过/過).  2) Group conversation practice.  3) Group activity: giving/following directions (往前走, 往右拐, 往左拐, 往回走, 往東走, 往西走, 往南走, 往北走).
  3. Movie time.

 

Procedure for MS Chinese I 2P/7P (1/5/12)

Objectives: 1) I can introduce my name in Chinese format.  2) I can introduce my family and family members.

Homework: 1) Write new characters.  2) Write/Type sentences about your family members.  Due tomorrow.

Procedure:

1.   1) Makeup work (2P: Jonah, Ben, Joy; 7P: Justin, Julia, Alissa, Kelley).  2) Read text passages on pages 43-44.  3) Finish up Movie Discussion Questions handout.

2.   1) Teach new characters with terms (2P: 工, 护/護, 士, 工人, 护/護士, 医/醫,医/醫生, 学/學士, 学/學生, 同学/學; 7P: 姓, 叫, 和, 保, 罗/羅).  2) Group conversation practice.

 

Procedure for MS Exploratory Chinese 3P/5P (1/5/12)

 Objectives: 1) I can utilize a website tool to type Chinese pinyin.  2) I can say dates in Chinese.

Homework: N/A

Procedure:

  1. 1) Quick review (baba, mama, gege, didi, jiejie, meimei, sui, jia, you, ge ren, he, liang).  2) Teach terms (sheng ri, nian).
  2. 1) Introduce/teach Chinese date format.  2) Write sentence #5.  3) Read sentences #1-#5.  Collect for grade.
  3. 1) Finish up origami.  Collect for grades.  2) (3P) Introduce a website to type Chinese pinyin.
