Procedure for HS Chinese IV (1/3/12)

目标 (MùBiāo): I can reflect on previous year’s resolutions and make my New Year’s resolutions today.

功课: 新年新志向.  明天到期.

程序 (ChéngXù):

  1. Take one copy of 2012 New Year’s Resolutions worksheet, your 2011 New Year’s Resolution, and one copy of Photostory3 project rubric.
  2. Seat work: Reflections and Making New Year’s resolutions.

Procedure for HS Chinese III (1/3/12)

目标 (MùBiāo): 1) I can reflect on previous year’s resolutions and make my New Year’s resolutions today.  2) I can give and follow directions to get around places.

功课: 1) 新年新志向.  明天到期.  2) 写新生字.  3) Practice reading text pages 30-31.  Due Friday.    

程序 (ChéngXù):

1.1) Take one copy of 2012 New Year’s Resolutions worksheet and your 2011 New Year’s Resolutions.  2) Makeup work (Aashna, Heidi).  3) Round robin reading text pages 30-31: Friday, 1/6/12.

2. 1) Quick review + text passages on pages 28-31.  2) Teach new characters with terms (邮/郵,局, 邮/郵局, 站, 公共汽车/車站, 火车/車站, 站起來, 灯/燈,电灯/電燈, 红绿灯/紅綠燈).  3) Introduce text passages on page 32.

3. Seat work: reflections and making 2012 New Year’s resolutions.

 

 

Procedure for MS Chinese I 2P/7P (1/3/12)

Objectives: 1) I can talk about my family.  2) I can make my 2012 New Year’s Resolutions.

Homework: 1) New Year’s Resolution Worksheet due tomorrow.  2) Write new characters.  3) Prepare a digital family picture for your PPT project.  Due next Monday, 1/9/12.

Procedure:

1.   1) Take one copy of 2012 New Year’s Resolution worksheet.  2) Makeup work (2P: Joy, Ben, Jonah; 7P: Alissa, Julia, Kelley).  3) Go over worksheet.

2.   1) Quick review (2P: 爸, 妈/媽, 弟, 姊, 姐; 7P: 爸, 妈/媽, 哥, 弟, 姊, 姐, 妹, 家, 个/個, 有, 也, 生, 生日, 学/學生, 家人, 一家人, 生气/氣).  2) Read text passages on page 43.

3.   Teach new characters with terms (2P: 哥, 妹, 家, 个/個, 有, 也, 生; 7P: 工, 护/護, 士, 工人, 护/護士, 医/醫,医/醫生, 学/學士, 学/學生, 同学/學).

4.   Seat work: Complete your 2012 New Year’s Resolutions.

 

Procedure for MS Exploratory Chinese 3P/5P (1/3/12)

Objectives: 1) I can talk about myself and my family.  2) I can explore origami.

Homework: 1) Review learned terms.  2) Practice reading sentences 1-4.

Procedure:

  1. Quick review (baba, mama, gege, didi, jiejie, meimei, sui).
  2. 1) Teach new terms (jia, you, ge ren, he, liang).  2) Teach and write sentences 3-4.  3) Practice reading sentences #1-4.
  3. 1) Pass out colored papers.  2) Prepare and make origami 1.
