Procedure for HS Chinese IV (2/8/12)

目标 (MùBiāo): I can evaluate three different website tools and choose one to create a video, comic strip or a story to present a Chinese story.

功课: Your comic strip/animation/video due on Wednesday, 2/20/12.

目标 (MùBiāo): 1) I can create a skit with a road map to give directions.  2) I can gain listening comprehension by watching authentic videos.  3) I can research on Chinese songs.

功课: 1) Draft due at the end of the class today.  2) Music/Chanting video due on 3/8/12.

Procedure for MS Chinese I 2P/7P (2/8/12)

Objectives: 1) I can describe animals, people, or objects with adjectives.  2) I can brainstorm ideas to create a skit.

Homework: 1) Practice reading text passages on page 55.  2) WB 47.


  1. 1) Take one copy of Lessons 4, 5 and 6 skit checklist.  2) Return papers (family pet paragraph; 1 copy at 7P without name!!).  Lesson Seven chapter test: Friday, 2/17/12.  3) Chinese Club activity: Friday, 2/10/12.  Bring a box to contain your model, please.  4) Read text passages on page 55.
  2. 1) Pair activity: brainstorm ideas and lay down sentences ó 2) Share your WB page 43 interview result.  3) Show Ms. Chang your WB pages 42 & 44.

Procedure for MS Exploratory Chinese 3P/5P (2/8/12)

Objetives: 1) I can say simple Chinese numbers.  2) I can locate many Chinese number characters on Chinese newspaper.  3) I can brainstorm ideas for my art project.  4) I can gain cultural knowledge about Chinese zodiac animals, the Great Wall of China, and the Summer Palace.

Homework:  Review all learned terms.


  1. 1) Collect writing assignment.  2) Quick review (yi, er, san, si, wu, liu, qi, ba, jiu, shi, ling, bai).  3) Newspaper hunting activity.
  2. 1) (3P) DVD: Culture reading: Chinese zodiac animals.  5P) The Great Wall + The Summer Palace.  2) Showcase sample art projects.
